  • Amanda is voted off...

    6.5
Well, I guess I knew it was coming. I really liked Amanda at the beginning because she was a rocker and she was different, but I slowly stopped liking her. She just had one style and her voice was getting a bit annoying. However, I think their are worse singers than her that should go. I really don't like Rameille. Anyways, Kelly Pickler sang and it was cute I guess. I listen to country music and I never liked her stuff. I was surprised she got so popular after the show though. She's doing well. Overall, just an average results episode.moreless
  • Amanda gets voted off.

    9.0
First off, I just have to say, Carly in the bottom three really surprised me. She's a great singer, but I shouldn't be complaining because she didn't get voted off.

Amanda did. I wanted her voted off, I really didn't like her singing, espically after she kind of ruined "Carry On My Wayward Son." But, I was half-expecting her to be safe, because I guess America liked her. Then, I guess not, because she was voted off.

I have to admit her SSSR song was actually a little (just a little) good, but still, I didn't like her, and she was the one I wanted voted off since the top 16.

  • Amanda finally goes home

    2.0
My wife and I started watching this show two years ago. In those years, there were good singers, good looking singers, and some with gimmicks.

This year's crop (except for three singers -- and little David is going to win -- so why watch more) are very poor. Very happy to see Amanda go -- should have been gone a long time ago.

The blatant advertising (including placements) is becoming almost funny. I'm tired of this show, and no real competition is appearing. The show is over. Maybe there's a next year, hopefully not.

Good night American Idol. My wife will probably watch, but I won't be.moreless
  • I was pleased to see her go

Two of tonight's bottom 3 were deserving. Kristy Lee Cook's performance was beyond disaster. She is a pretty face, but she never should have made it into the top 12. Now, she's in the top 10. Kind of makes ya wonder what America was listening to while she sang. Amanda Overmeyer never should have made it past Hollywood week. I thought she had a really cute personality and I think I could have been friends with her if we had ever met. But, she can't sing. Never could. Never will be able to. Simon said it best when he said she was in danger of becoming boring. She was always a one trick pony. I hope that she find all the happiness she deserves because she truly seems like a great person, but she had no business being on American Idol. Speaking of people who had no business being on American Idol - Kelly Pickler can't sing! Why they asked her to come back is beyond me. She chews her words and tries to be cutesy and twangy. It was very late 90s bubble gum pop/country cross over. Ugh. Awful.moreless
  • Finally!

    10
In the episode, Amanda was voted off. It's about time! I wanted her out a while ago. The only downside in this episode is that Carly was in the bottom 3, even though she gave one of the best performances last night. It should have been Jason in her place or Chikezie. Kellie pickler performed Red High heels, which was pretty good. They showed a video for Idol Gives Back, when Fantasia and Elliott Yamin went to Africa. Also, Ryan announced some mentors for the season, such as Dolly Parton, Mariah Carey, Neil Diamond, and Andrew Lloyd Webber. So glad Amanda was eliminated!moreless
