    Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

    • TRIVIA (7)

      • The Bottom 2:
        2. Fantasia Barrino
        1. LaToya London

        Eliminated: LaToya London

      • After La Toya is eliminated she sings, as usual, however she doesn't sing a song from the previous night. Rather she sings "Don't Rain on My Parade" which she sang in Top 5 week. This is the first time that the eliminated person has sung a song from another week.

      • Ryan read out the results as he usually does, however instead of doing everyone at the same time he read out Diana's then took a break and then read out Fantasia's and took a break and then later did Jasmine and La Toya's together.

      • Ryan did not mention the number of votes.

      • The Ford music video was "Free Your Mind" by En Vouge. The girls finish recording and one of them says they have an idea. They get in the car that is there and suddenly the have on make up and there are lights flashing around as they sing.

      • Donna Summer sang "MacArthur Park" originally done by Richard Harris but had previously been covered by Donna Summer. This is the first time ever a celebrity has performed one of their "own" songs solo (without AI contestants). The only other person to have performed solo was Paul Anka who did a rewritten cover of "My Way" in season 2.

      • There were two group numbers. The first one was a medley of Donna Summer songs which included "Bad Girls", "Hot Stuff", "Heaven Knows", "She Works Hard for Her Money" and "Last Dance" (which was song mostly by Donna and back upped by the contestants). The second one was sung with Clay Aiken and was "Fantasy" by Earth, Wind & Fire.

    • QUOTES (1)

      • Simon: (after Fantasia and LaToya are placed in the bottom 2)I think Jasmine need to write few "thank you" letters to people in Hawaii.
