American Idol

Seriously, what is new about this show every season? Every season is the same! It gets narrowed down to a handful of somewhat good looking, charming, young, lovable contestants, until one of them wins and we're all so happy for them. And adding Nicki Minaj (who has absolutely no vocal talent, and is a slutty bad attitude rapper) to the judging panel? REALLY? Seriously, kids watch this show. What a childish and stupid decision producers. Let's face it, the only reason it's still on the air is because it is somehow still one of the most watched television programs on TV.

i hated AL in the begining but i loved it at the end because it had Angie! When Angie left, i didn't care for it

I've never been a fan of this genre of talent shows, but American Idol has been promoted to death for years so it's time I jump into the fray. Can't review the show with talking about the cast so : Ryan Seacrest = Annoying, done. Randy Jackson = A little pitchy dawg. Simon Cowell = Was the highlight of the show, so lets get rid of him. Kara DioGuardi = still don't know who this is, but probably the most cocky / bitchy judges to ever grace the set. Nicki Manaj = 2x more annoying than seacrest, 2x as cocky as DioGuardi, talent-less, oh and can't sing, so why is she judging singers? As for the singers, meh ... Ratings keep going down, so hopefully this trendy cash cow is almost ready for pasture ...



PS - I still give it a 2 because at least it was the first of it's kind

I loved this show but this season sucked! I hated the panel, no chemistry at all. So dull. Mariah always trying to find the words as if it's so hard. Randy repeating the old crap, Nicki... I hate her but i cought myself listening to her more than everyone else and can't even find a single reason for him to be on this panel. I would replace them without thinking twice. And the contestants, and the song . Ballades, Ballades and Ballades so tired of ballades. I cared about Angie in the begining but in the end I didn't even care who would win. I hope next year AI's old glory will return but I doubt it.

Hope like hell they drop Nicki Manaj from the group. She has a bad attitude and is not a team player. She sucks.

I had lost any respect for the show earlier in the season this year, but I was trying to hang in there until the they voted the real last american talent off, which was multi talented Angie. This confirmed the show is definitely fixed, regardless of the race issues going on as well, look who the judges saved, proves that issue as well !! I had money on that move and won easy... I mean Angie could do it all, and easily blew Kree and Candice off the stage with her talent, can Kree or Candice play any musical instruments ? Angie's' hard study/practice working talent enabled her to easily slay the piano while performing her songs. I'll never watch this show to hear most all the judges are being sacked (resigned is a nice way of saying it) The show needs to go out the door with dancing with the stars.

Sheldon, do you really think we need to give the judges more power to keep or eliminate contestants? Remember Zoanette? The judges have decided at the beginning who they want to win and then they cram it down our throats. Janelle was so good and had a great stage presence. But the judges did not want her so they started telling her she was a little off. They did not do this before, when there were men still in the running. The judges started this when only females were left. Now, they get rid of Janelle and think okay now we need to get another white person off because they are worried about a law suit claiming they don't like blacks--even though 75% of judges are black. So they suddenly start telling Kree that there is something off with her. She is doing great as always but they say this anyway so they can sway voters. It does not work and Amber goes home. Now they are worried. They started bragging on Candice as if she is the best they have ever seen on Idol. They decide that they are going to have to start on Angie too because they can not let anyone but Candice win. The judges need to just coach instead of saying things like "that was just awful" or "dude, not your best" or "poor song choice" like they do on The Voice. Trying to cram Amber down our throat was bad but Zoenette, ridiculous. More power to the judges? If anything they need to stay out of it more.

This season is the worst finale should have made it in the 2's winner is Angie but because of Kree's homecoming video it made an influence not to just the judges and jimmy, but also to the has a great what's wrong in being happy that's the reason I have a crush on of the judges that I really dislike is Mariah, she's very bias and always praising other judges is OK to me even Niki ... Niki is harsh but tells the truth and Keith is a great has been bias and is always dressing inappropriately more than mean this is a family not going to watch the finale because it's just pathetic no will Ok if Candice wins in the finale with Angie as the finalist becasue it would be an awesome finale and Angie's a great song writer and a great vocalist and I don't know why they say she is lacking shows a lot of emotion when she sings not looking at the camera sings with her heart and this finale is going to think Angie just miss the opportunity of her singing with her idol,Jessie w ould have been awesome...

First of all, I have NEVER missed one show since American Idol began, not one. This was THE WORST season I have ever seen. The judges, sad, (Except for awesome Keith). The outcome for this year's finale... we are all dealing with, but ever so disappointed that Angie isn't in it. There is NO excitement for it now. None. Candice and Kree are great, but Angie should have won. The last thing that makes me sick is that this is supposedly a family show, the lack of taste in Mariah's video, knowing children are watching this, is horrendous. It was the same as the video that year of Jennifer lack of taste and gross exposure. There is NO reason, NONE, why these videos need to be shown on American Idol, unless they are just trying so hard to lesson audience members and push away long time viewers, who also have supported the show by speaking so highly of it. I tell people now, not to watch it. It's become trash. SO, SO sad to me. So sad that my children, who were so inspired by the artists, have had to keep their ears and eyes shut as certain people on the show speak and do what they do, act completely inappropriate, classless and distasteful. So sad. I hate writing such an email. I think inside each of their hearts is a very good person, but whoever is giving permission for this type of behavior and rude speaking (Niki's be fired. So sorry. I hope it can change, but I have a feeling . has lost most its important audience. This will be the first finale we do not watch. Boring.

American Idol has become the worst talent show berhaps in the history of television, It should be canceled and replaced with something all america could watch. Keith good luck in what you have potential.... Mariah your to nice and mello to be a judge. Be a stay at home Mom. Nikki,I kind of like you. You would do well on Celebrity Apprentice. Randy get a King is hiring. Just herd the best news for the up coming IDOL season #13. All four current judges will be replaced. A dream come your bags boys and girls,The easy Money Days are over for should donate the money you made this season to Charity and or help the needy out...

After Angie was eliminated, I made the decision to not watch the finale or continue with the show. Period. I'm not going to sit here and put down the two ladies on the top final two, but the incredible disappointment has left me hating the show with a passion. Nicki's trashy mouth and Randy making the same comments over and over again with nothing original to say shows how tired HE IS as well. Of course he's leaving. The show is ridiculous. I have a HUGE problem with the judges "bowing" down in a godlike fashion to Candace and showing huge favoritism. How DARE judges throw themselves at one contestant and leave the other ones feeling like they dont measure up. All the worshiping of Candace was way over the top and although I love Keith, it was a big mistake for him to do that. All four judges should not worship and idolize one contestant over another one. Clap, give praise and constructive criticism, but the insane over-the-top treatment of Candace really ticked me off. Unprofessional and biased.

I'm embarrassed to even admit that I've been watching Americal Idol. Exhausted after coming home from work, I started watching American Idol and The Voice last year - finding that watching want-to-be singing phenoms sing for their lives is enjoyable and relaxing after a hard day's work.



Last year was my first year of watching The Voice and American Idol. I felt ok about The Voice, but really enjoyed American Idol, and became a complete Phillip Phillips fan. What a reversal this year.



No more relaxation watching American Idol. The chemistry between the judges is nothing short of caustic. The chemistry between the judges and the contestants is caustic. Between Jimmy and the Judges is caustic. And finally, it's such a stretch calling those 4 people judges - listening to the same shallow words each week: "she's in it to win it", "what I love about you ... "my little oye.



This show has been a waste of my time and energy this year. I'm actually glad that Angie is not going into the finals (common guys - the 3 competing WAS the finals last year - why on earth would they drag this out one more week), because it finally has me ired enough to stop watching the show, now and forever. Now that I know the results are fixed, which they'd have to be to not include Angie in the finals, there is no more reason to watch this abomination any longer.



Back to The Voice I go. Where the input is constructive and positive and most importantly "REAL". Where the coaches really do care about their contestants, and really do coach. Where it's a talent show instead of a game show. And where the talent is STELLAR, instead of inconsistent. And where I feel good after watching it, instead of angry and agitated.



No more watching Nikki's horrible facial expressions, or fabricated british accent, or meaningless terms of - well, not endearment as she's not endearing about anything. I wish Keith hadn't started with this show, because my impression of him was positive before this experience. Randy - who really needs to find another job because show-biz is not it. Listen to me so negative - I feel toxic after watching it.

I have to say I'm super dissapointed by American Idol this year. I watched last year, and I was super upset when Colton Dixon was voted off. I almost stopped watching. I have to say though, Angie Miller's elimination really topped it off for me. Now that Angie's gone, I'm really going to stop watching. People don't usually vote for the people who are the best because they figure they're safe anyway. Angie was going to win, and she didn't deserve to go home and should have won because she was the best one. I personally feel that watching a show that people don't vote for the person in the competition they truly want to win isn't really worth watching. America as voters often get it totally wrong, and that definetally happened this season.

The judges Should Shut Up and let America Vote. They have been against Kree and they turned their backs on her when she won tonight. They were so sure their Angie would win they drooled all over her. Ha Ha

The judges give Candice standing ovations and lavish praise on her it is sickening and unprofessional of them. Don't get me wrong I like Candice and she is amazing. The judges are all jerks. Get rid of all of them and start fresh.

Love the show please get rid of Nicki !!!!! Mariah is the one to keep ! Mariah is a Queen !

I am tired of Nikki on Idol!!! If she is on for another season I will not watch it all!!! The other 3 judges are great!!! She is the worst judge ever!!! Her attitude to everyone and everything is awful!!!! She is disgusting!!!!!! If IDOL wants better ratings they should get rid of her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She IS the reason the ratings have dropped!!!!! No one else!!!!

It would be impossible if this women would ever be involved in anyway with this have watched this show since the beginning but if I ever hear her voice (wicked witch of the West) on this show I may be forced to throw away my TV.

Idol continues to slide because the Judges have been the show instead of the contestants. When a Judge tells a hopeful she is the best he has ever heard and another Judge "hopes America is smart enough get it Its time to switch from Idol to The Voice.

ANGIE & AMBER WERE BOTH AWESOME, I DISAGREE WITH THE JUDGES COMMENTS. I THINK THEY CHANGE TOWARDS THE END OF THE SHOW, NOT THE PERFORMERS!!

When Idol first started, we never missed a show; now even tho its recorded and we can fast forward whenever Nicki opens her mouth, we have seen approx 30 minutes of this season. Nicki, she is the worse judge in the history of the show. You can't listen to her nasal voice for more than 2 minutes; then the fake British accent that comes and goes (when she forgets) is idiotic. Her body language with Mariah is so childish. Why in the world did Fox put her as a Judge? DESPERATE?? Keith, Randy and Mariah are good; Simon was the best, he made the show. We now do not miss an episode of the Voice, the judges in that show are about the contestants, not like Nicki and "it's all about

Get RID of that NASTY Nikki. She is the problem, not Mariah. I quit watching completely! I just can't stomach her. There in, lies your problem. :-)

I used to absolutely love this show. I can not stand Nikki being a judge and I am hoping to God that she is not a judge next season so that I can start watching again. I think she is a disgrace and she belongs behind closed doors. For all those who think Mariah is awful and are just jealous. Not only was she icon in her time but she is a fabulous singer, songwriter, record producer, actress and philanthropist. If anyone knows music it's Mariah.

A. Because "The Voice" is so much better in all aspects

B. Because three of the four judges are black

C. More than half of the top 10/12 were/are part black anyway

D. America is still divided by color and the biggest percentage is non-black

I used to be a huge fan of AI, but since Mariah and Nikki have been chosen to be judges I refuse to watch it. They couldn't have asked anyone worse to judge! Both of these ladies are completely talent-less, annoying fame seekers. Time to switch to the Voice.

I agree with most is going down the not because of the contestants. What are they thinking having Nikki and Mariah as judges. All they do is sit there for two hours stroking their hair. I just want to rip it out of both of them. Must they constantly do that??? Then, there is Nikki's nasal-like voice. OMG, listening to that after each contestant makes me want to scream. I just want to fast-forward when Nikki speaks (maybe I'll just record it from now on so I can). Nikki has no class, whatsoever. At least Mariah is decent with the contestants and has class. I like Randy and Keith, both good judges. Get rid of the divas and you'll probably get viewers tuning back in.

I deleted AI from my DVR after the second night this year. I have watched it for years and enjoyed it even if I didn't like all of the judges. I had no idea who Nikki even was before it started, but after the first night was disgusted by her. The second night did not get any better and I knew I could not watch that disrespectful person for the whole season. As long as they keep her as a judge they have lost a viewer. I have moved on to The Voice. At least they truly base their original decisions on the voice and not the look.

I actually started watching AI with a bad taste in my mouth for Nikki because of all the drama I heard. However, I am enjoying her as a judge. I do not mind a judge that will be truthful. I enjoy her rapport she has with the contestants. I actually enjoy her comments better than the others. I do like all the judges I just wish there chemistry was like the judges on The Voice
