  • Trivia

    • Crystal Bowersox performed "Ridin' With the Radio" and Bruno Mars performed "The Lazy Song".

    • The For Music Video was "Our House" by Madness. The Idols are using markers to outline furniture in a house, and then it turns into real furniture.

    • Ryan did not reveal the number of votes.

    • The Group Number was a Carole King medley (Songs written by, but not originally recorded by, her are indicated): "It Might As Well Rain Until September", "Take Good Care of My Baby" by Bobby Vee, "One Fine Day" by The Chiffons, "Go Away Little Girl" by Steve Lawrence, and "It's Too Late".

    • After Casey was eliminated, he sang "I Put a Spell on You" by Screamin' Jay Hawkins.

    • Instead of Ryan reading the comments from last night about the Idols' performances when doing the results, a video is shown which recaps the performance and the Judges' comments, and then Jimmy Iovine is shown making his comments. This becomes the norm for the remainder of the season and in the next couple of seasons as well.

    • Ryan asked fan questions to the Idols this week.

    • Voted Off: Casey Abrams. Casey Abrams becomes the first contestant ever that was eliminated every time they were in the Bottom 3. Every other contestant that was Saved by the judges wound up in the Bottom either before or after the Save, before they were eliminated for the second and final time.

    • Last 3:
      3. Jacob Lusk
      2. Scotty McCreery
      1. Casey Abrams

**Also please be advised that this is NOT the Bottom 3, due to the results given at random.**

  • Allusions

    • Ryan: We'd like to pay tribute to the biggest event in Pop Culture this week. Charlie Sheen is performing his stage show down the street.

On April 2nd 2011 Charlie Sheen started his "My Violent Torpedo of Truth/Defeat is Not An Option" tour, which happened after his huge fight with creators and producers from the show "Two and a Half Men", and was a comedy/rant act about what happened. The show was a huge bomb and he was even booed off stage a few times.
