After David Radford sang Paula called the female contestants her kitty pound (then after they made barking sounds changed it to Paula's Poodle Pound) which is the female version to the dawg pound that Randy uses for the male contestants, which he started the previous season.
Simon (to Bucky): We get a lot of so-called rockers on this show, then we find out that they've been performing at weddings all their life, they just wear a leather jacket. There are thousands of bars across America where you'll find somebody like Bucky just doing their stuff.
Simon (to Elliott): We've had five seasons. I think potentially you are the best male vocalist we've ever had.
Simon (to Sway): I thought it was a really pimpy third-rate copy of "Earth Wind and Fire."

Taylor tells his "Soul Patrol" to vote. The Soul Patrol is the name of the people who are fans of Taylor Hicks.
