The final 24 are chosen. The 12 girls that made it are Ayla Brown, Becky O'Donohue, Brenna Gethers, Heather Cox, Katherine McPhee, Kellie Pikler, Kinik Sky, Lisa Tucker, Mandisa, Melissa McGhee, Paris Bennet, and Stevie Scott. The 12 boys that made it are Ace Young, Bobby Bennett, Bucky Covington, Chris Daughtry, David Radford, Elliot Yamin, Gedeon McKinney, Jose "Sway" Penala, Kevin Covais, Patrick Hall, Taylor Hicks, and Will Makar. And I thank Simon Paula, and Randy for deciding to send the Britnu twins home, They were really beginning to tick me off. They had to big of an attitude and ego, it was just so annoying. And why the crap did Bobby and Kevin get in? They aren't even really that good. However, I can say that they are not going to last long, they will be going home soon.

I was satisfied overall with the results.. all the people that I want to make it to the top 12 made it.
the cuts were done with reletive class, the Brittenham twins are gone.. I am really happy that Taylor Hicks, Bucky Covington and Ace Young made it in PArticular, Liked Mandisa Humbleing Simon, and that he actually apologized, can't wait to see the top 12
  • Actually, I like the people they chose.

For once, I actually like the people they chose. I think there were only one or two that I dislike. For once, the judges have finally decided to not look at looks. I think they've realized that America doesn't care.

The episode was kinda of long, and kind of repetative. I mean, there's only so many times you can say "you didn't make it". However, I felt this was a nice filler/transition show for moving on to the second half.

Oh, and I happen to like the big girl. I guess it's all a matter of perspective. I myself don't like the snobby girl who talked back to Simon, but hey, like I said, to each their own.moreless
  • Wow, this should be, um...interesting....

Let's jump right into it. The 1st one through was Katharine McPhee. I already love her and how cute was it that when she made it through she kissed all of the judges (I'm surprised Simon allowed it)! I predict great things from her. She gave me chills in her first audition. Ace, the 1st guy through has one hell of a voice. I think Paula has a crush on him (and so do I!). Now I understand that it can get emotional if you don't make it through to the next round, but Eugenia Littlejohn overreacted a little, no one peaks at 26! Come on! It was sweet of Paula to comfort her though. Wow, a loss of one vote for some people she doesn't like (I bet Eugenia doesn't even watch the show). Next: I love, LOVE Mandisa Hundley. It was so awesome for her to stand up to AND forgive Simon for being...well...Simon. Wow, we got another kiss out of Simon (good for you Mandisa)!! She tells him he's not her type, CLASSIC!!! David Radford is such a cutie. I just hope he's got more then the Rat Pack voice going on, otherwise, he won't get further then John Stevens did. Jose "Sway" Penala definitely deserves a spot in the top 12 guys. Such an interesting tone to his voice. I like Brenna's attitude. I'm like Simon, I don't know why, but I do. I also like Gedeon McKinney's confidence, but he'd better make sure he doesn't seem TOO overconfident. Randy says Stephanie Scott is tall (maybe you're just short Randy...). Poor Chris Daughtry, getting stuck in that elevator. I am so glad he made it. Great voice and a cutie pie too. I'll miss April Walsh. I liked her optimistic attitude though. Yay Patrick Hall! And yay Paris Bennett! Representing the ATL baby (Sorry, I'm a Georgia native...)!! She's so good too! How totally appropriate was it for Taylor Hicks to come in blaring his harmonica? He has an interesting aspect about him (is it that he dances like he's having a seizure? Or that for some strange reason his moves remind me of the late Ray Charles?). I'm glad Simon was wrong about Paula and Randy putting him through. And finally William Makar, our last guy through. Now the best part: The double trouble boys are FINALLY gone! They annoyed me from day one (they could definitely sing, but I'm not surprised they are now both in jail). Bye Terrell & Derrell. All in all, this will be an interesting season...moreless
  • This is the worst season ever!

Im sorry, but what I saw tonight was not what I tought it would be in the first place. I think this is a repeat of season 3 with Fantasia becoming the sole winner, because the others did not get a good review. First, the rejection of Crystal Parizanski and then accepting that over weight lady with no talent? What are they thinking? Thank goodness the Britnnen Brothers where arrested, otherwise, this competition would go to low extremes! Yeah right! Simon always don't count with the results, but now look what we have here!moreless
