The American Idol App option does not appear on screen and Ryan mentioned it just a couple of times.

      • For the first time ever, the Semis are done in Las Vegas, not Los Angeles. It is done in the same venue as the previous weeks.

      • During Kree's video clip it shows one of the vocal coaches as Adriana McPhee, who is the older sister of Season 5 Runner Up Katharine McPhee. Although this is the first time she has been shown (or at least credited while being shown) she has actually been a vocal coach on AI since 2012. Her mother, Peisha, has also been a vocal coach on AI since 2011, as noted previously.

      • Ryan explained more about the voting aspect of the American Idol App. Each person can vote 50 times, in any combination (all fifty for one or a bunch of votes for each contestant etc) and it can be changed as the show goes on, and then when "the lines open" they can submit their final voting preferences. This is now the fourth way to vote on the show after calling, texting and voting on the American Idol website.
