How come a guy that can't even sing beat up an amazing female singer that have nothing but a wonderful voice???

This show is so wrong right now. Of course, we all thank for Kelly Clarkson, even for Carrie underwood... but don't tell me the american idol 2007 will be someone that wins over popularity, not because he actually sings!
  • Very disapointed!

Me and my wife watch American Idol, and of course we have our favorites and know that some will leave before others. It's all the same. However, the first two to go were expected. They were ok singers and people but they disn't make it. But when the brought down the last 2 guy's and last two girls, the two who made it should have gone and the two who were kick off should have stay'd. I know they say that america votes them off and I can understand how people might have thought they got a lot of votes so i won't vote n stuff, but come on now. Is it that America really voted them off or is American Idol making it pivitol for rating's. Hummm. I guess we'll never know. I'm not saying it's a set up or anything. I guess if you like someone, don't count on everyone else who likes them to vote for them. I was just disapointed. I'll still watch, but I'm not happy. :)

Ok, yes we got some talent in this top 12, there's Stephanie, LaKisha, Melinda, what's his name and who's that guy...

Antonella finally left, since she didn't really deserve to stay.

Jared's departure didn't really shocked me, he didn't make much an impression on me.

But two results left me in shock.

First of all: Haley vs. Sabrina, they fight for one place, Haley wins.

Then one question popped in my mind, who the hell is this girl? We've sent home a girl who, in my opinion, was one of the top vocalists to keep an absolutely forgetable "singer".

    Something's wrong.

Now, the episode ends with Sanjaya vs. Sundance, pfff it's clear, the place belongs to Sundance for sure.

Then Ryan talks, and it appears America thinks long hair should keep you under the spotlight.

At first I thought it was a joke, then Sundance performed, the tape started and the little Sanjaya takes his place on the last seat who should have been filled by... well... someone else! Anyone else! What did Sanjaya do to deserve to stay? No charisma, no passion, no real feel, no voice... What kept him in? The freaking hula?

  • A couple of stunning upsets.

Poor Jared! Didn’t see that coming. His last performance showed a lack of confidence, but then he belted out a killer rendition of it on exit and if he had sung it that way before, I'm certain he would not have been going home.

Poor Antonella! She fell victim to a fate that took on a life of its own. Don’t hate her because she’s beautiful! I think the press done her in. The picture of her on the beach with her friends was no big deal—that’s just kids doing kid things. But when her face got superimposed on naked bodies by media people out for a fast buck, the ball got rolling. And that photo of her in American Beauty-style petals is what doomed her. It looked like she deliberately posed for that to take advantage of the media attention, but that could have been photoshopped, too. I think the public didn’t feel it was a level playing field. In any case, the negativity tore away at her confidence and she wound up dumping her soulful signature trills for something more conventional, which degraded her last performance.

Poor Sabrina! She did not deserve to go home, especially humiliating opposite Haley (Who?). I didn’t think Sabrina’s last performance was up to (her) par, but it wasn’t THAT BAD.

Sundance – A really strange situation. Sundance seemed to be more buoyed up because of mentioning his father’s accomplishments than anything else. I think it proved the judges are highly influenced by hype. Even during precontest selections, Simon told Paula he thought she was being very generous allowing Sundance to make it to the finals. I wonder how far Sundance would have gotten if he never mentioned his father (or at least never made such a big deal out of it). Guess we'll never know.

As for Sanjaya—hey I still haven’t gotten over Sucky Bucky lasting so long. At least Sanjaya went back to his natural hairstyle instead of that silly silky look. He’s beginning to morph into Michael Jackson!
  • Our top 12: LaKisha Jones, Blake Lewis, Chris Sligh, Jordin Sparks, Phil Stacey, Chris Richardson, Gina Glocksen, Melinda Doolittle, Brandon Rogers, Stephanie Edwards, Haley Scarnato and Sanjaya Malakar.

Tonight the top 12 is finally revealed. The night started off with the traditional recap of the performances of the past two nights. After, the top 16 did a song together. They didn't waste time on the results and quickly revealed that LaKisha and Blake Lewis were safe. They weren't too kind to Chris Sligh though, he had to wait after the break, but it was all worth it when Ryan revealed that he was safe. Jordin Sparks made it in aswell, the saem goes for Phil Stacey. Jared Cotter wasn't as lucky though, he was asked to go home after being one of the bottom 4 contestants of the night. After the break, another four contestants were safe. Gina, Chris Richardson, Melinda Doolittle and Brandon Rogers. Before anymore results, season 4 winner, Carrie Underwood took the stage performing her song "Wasted," from her album "Some Hearts." After the break, Stephanie and Antonella were asked to step beside Ryan. Ryan announced that Antonella would be going home. Without wasting any time, Ryan asked Haley and Sabrina to step on stage. Sabrina would be going home. After the commercial break, Ryan announced the big news of Idol helping the children in Africa and the children affected by Katrina. It was time for business and the last two contestants stepped forward. They were Sanjaya and Sundance. Ryan announced that Sundance would be going home. And there they were, the top 12.

jared: not the worst, not the best. i got his song stuck in my head, but he was average. sabrina: shoulda stayed. haley wasnt great and she was. she deserevd the top 12.

anyway, its upsetting. but thats how it works. america, youre doing A Crappy Job On Vting.

First I don't listen to mos past American Idol winners. Kelly Clarkson has like thre or four songs I like. Carrie Underwood has 1 that I know/like which is Jesus take wheel. So I didn't care much for tonights performance. Now on to the reason for the show... the voting. Antonella Barba was the first girl which I didn't have a problem with and the first guy was Jared Cotter. He was under the radar for me so he definitly wasn't the worst guy *cough* Sanjaya *cough*. Then the two others were Sabrina Sloan she could have stayed because Gina Glockson or Haley Scardnoto were jus tabout average like she was. Then for the guys I am not eveven going to do anything I am just gonn say it.. It was Sundance Head who probably should have left this week definitly shouldn't have left before Sanjaya. Yes Sanjaya is in the Top 12. He shouldn't even be in the top 20/16. But that is how it is.
  • In the most dramatic results show of the season thus far, four more semifinalists – two boys and two girls – will go home, leaving the Top 12 finalists to vie for the American Idol crown. Carrie Underwood performs her new single, "Wasted."

This episode was so dramatic. It was an amazing two hundredth episode. It was very dramatic. I wish Antonella could have stayed on and Sanjaya could have left. He is very annoying and the only reason people vote for him is because of his sob story that his sister did not make it through, too. Who cares?!?! Antonella was much better than him! They should have gotten rid of him anyway, even though they already eliminated two men. Poor Antonella went through so much to get this far. She even lost her friendship with Amanda Culluccio. Antonella Barba should be remembered for an amazing misjudged American Idol contestant, rather than an American Idol loser.
  • Why did Sabrina leave so soon?? Why is Sanjaya in the Top 12??

    "Poor"
I thought the first two eliminations were right, Antonella Barba and Jared Cotter, but I am really mad that Sabrina was eliminated and that Sanjaya is in the Top 12. Haley was terrible on Wednesday night and so was Sanjaya. I really hope that they get eliminated really soon. Sundance wasn't really that good, but Sanjaya is way better. Even though Antonella and Jared had their best performance, they probably wouldn't survive the Top 12 so I am glad that they are gone. Carrie Underwood performed her song Wasted and it was great. It was nice to see her return.
  • What the HELL was that???

I sat in front of my television for five minutes after the show ended with my mouth open, I was Shocked. What's wrong with you America??? Are you deaf, blind or just stupid. I can't belive that Sanjaya made it to the top 12, he should have been gone in the first week, and each time he made it through I could'nt believe it but I said to myself there's no way he'll be in the top 12, I guess I was wrong, unbelievable. I also think that Sabrina was so much better than Haley, America has got it all wrong, and I'm quoting Simon when asked what had happened that Sundance went home "the volume was turned down". Outrageous.
  • This hour of my life was truly a waste of time.

    "Bad"
"American Idol" is officially a trainwreck. I say this after every episode of "American Idol" that I watch, but this hour of my life was truly a waste of time. I mean who the heck is going to watch these 12 finalists? (I will but I will do so in protest and only because the show is so addicting.)

Sanjaya is a finalist?! How did that happen? Even the judges were shocked at the final group of 12. That saddest part was that our famous poster child, Antonella Barber didn't make it. She was so bad that it was actually funny to watch. But, at least she tried to sing whereas Sanjaya was just boring and didn't care. Antonella also brought a long drama--as when Simon mentioned her pictures the last episode. Hilarious.

My prediction--if Lakisha or Melinda doesn't win, something's wrong with our ears.
  • I do not like America!! The voting results was a mess! Review.

What in the world was this? How can America keep Haley (the girl that yeah I never even knew she existed in this competition) and Sanjaya (the guy with nice hair but no good voice) getting voted in the top 12. What, I tell you!! What are they thinking??? I mean Sabrina, Sundance aren't the best but way better than these two. On a good note, I'm so thrilled Antonella besides her sexy pics got voted off finally it was painful to watch her perform. I agree with Jared Cotter, he needs to be more versatile. Now the best thing that happened were two things. 1) I'm proud of American Idol contributing to save poverty. I tip my hat to you on that one. Great project!! God bless you!! 2) The best American Idol, my girl Carrie Underwood with a flawless performance of her new song "Wasted". She's the bomb! I'm really disappointed America, this is about singing not something else. Sigh, what am I to do but vote more than once now for my favorites to stay in.

So, Antonella is FINALLY out of the competition (*jumps for joy*) but Sabrina? I didn't think she deserved to go coz she's a stronger singer than Haley. However, it doesn't really bother me coz Melinda, Lakisha, Jordin, Stephanie and Gina are still there (my top 5 girls in that order).

As for the guys, something is really wrong here. I thought Sundance deserved to be in the top 12 (granted he picked the wrong song for the final elimination show) coz he's got a really powerful voice. And poor Jared, he's such a sweetie and I thought he did quite well with the Stevie song. Guess America didn't think so.

What's mind boggling is that Sanjaya is in the top 12? I'm not saying he can't sing, but he's clearly the weakest singer in the group. Most of the guys who were eliminated are way better than him. Maybe Simon's right, it's his hair that's keeping him in.

On a lighter note, Carrie Underwood looks great!

I guess I'll still keep watching as long as my girls are still in (Yup, I predict this season will be a female winner)
  • The importance of voting explained...

Hello everyone! So by far, this results show is pretty dang awesome. I will not spoil anything except that my favorite girl is Carrie Underwood!!! :) She has not lost any of her charisma and beauty nor her singing abilities. I cannot wait to get tickets to see a concert from her!!!

That said, I will not reveal the results of the show. However, I will iterate the importance of voting: It is absolutely important for everyone to vote. I cannot say this enough times. Of course, it generates a lot of emotion. Whatever the American public must do, vote, Vote, VOTE!!! Otherwise, no excuse crying!!!
  • I'm shocked and happy at the same exact time......

    "Great"
Well I am very happy about our top 12 this year. Its just sad neither Sundance, Sabrina and even Nick or A.J didn't even make it to the top 12! But I will tell America this, listen whats the deal with Sanjaya now? I didn't give him one vote at all, he was horrible as always. Maybe Simon is right, maybe its his hair thats keeping him in, and then letting him make it to the top 12! I really hope he goes next week. But as for Jared, yeah I'm going to miss him, he had a good voice, but he just wasn't one of my favorites, so I don't really care that much. And Antonella finally! She so knew she was going tonight. Ok, so this is what I think of the top 12 so far....

    Chris Richardson: 10!

    Chris Sligh: 6

    Haley Scarnato: 7

    Jorden Sparks: 10!

    Malinda Dolittle: 9

    Stephanie Edwards: 7

    Sanjaya Malakar: 0

    Phil Stacy: 8

    Blake Lewis: 8

    Gina Glockson: 9

    Lakisha Jones: 10!

    Brandon Rogers: 2

So obviously the ones who got the tens are most likely I think may win or definatly make it very, very, very far in this competition!
  • America finally gets it right!!! (mostly)

For the first time, America votes, in my opinion, almost perfectly. The top 6 girls were:

    Lakisha Jones :D

    Melinda Doolittle :D

    Jordin Sparks :D

    Stephanie Edwards :)

    Gina Glocksen :D

    Haley Scarnato :D

These were the six that I wanted! I was so excited! Hopefully all six of them will make the top 10... i definately see that happening...

    The top 6 guys were:

    Chris Richardson :)

    Chris Sligh :)

    Blake Lewis :)

    um Phil Stacey (?) :/

    The Brandon guy :|

    Sanjya Malakar or whatever :@

    How did Sanjya make it?

he was so much worse than sundance...

i was glad jared was out.. he creeps me out...

other than the little Sanjya incident, im happy... cuz hey... Antonella is gone!!!!

    I'll def. keep watching
  • I am really confused about this weeks results.

    6.5
    "Fair"
First off, it was a well done show without a doubt. Props to Carrie Underwood who had an incredible performance of her single “Wasted”. She looked absolutely gorgeous. Now, about the results... Well, those were not as pretty as Carrie that is for sure. Two of the competitions best vocalists are going home. Sundance Head and Sabrina Sloan both take their final bow on American Idol. Though Sundance had a bad week, he was clearly a lot better than Sanjaya who once again advanced in the competition. And Sabrina was one of my favorite three female vocalists. She was way better than Haley, yet got the boot. The others that went home were Antonella and Jared, both of whom rightfully were eliminated in my opinion.

Overall, this show was entertaining, but I disagree with some of the eliminations. Carrie was the highpoint of the show and it was nice to see what Idol is doing for charities.
