  • It's like watching a different show.

    I 100% agree with Randy, it's like watching a different show when the girls start singing.

    I personally feel the guys didn't even deserve a review, some of them were ok, some were just painful, nothing outstanding, nothing that would make me pick up the phone and vote for one of them. Some do have nice personalities but this is a singing competition, and we're looking for a possible star here, and I just didn't see any between them.

    Now let's cut to the point, these girls are in it to win it, and I'm gonna be amazed if one of them won't.

    Jordin opens the show, this girl is just a genuinely likeable person and for that reason she will probably go through.
    Her vocal is very good, still I havn't been wowed by her since I saw her during the auditions, I think she hasn't yet shown us what she is capable of.

    Sabrina disappointed me, she just fell flat after her first very good week and I'm worried because she might not be able to shine enough to make it to the next week. I was expecting more, and she didn't deliver.

    Antonella... ok well, what can I say? She's gone as far as she could and, in truth, I am amazed she actually got this far. She hopes the judges won't compare her to anyone, well the truth is, darling, that everyone does, when you're surrounded by talented girls like you are, it's kind of silly to send them home to keep a mediocre singer.

    Haley, awww you're cute, go home already.

    Stephanie rocked as usual, I don't know why, since she's got everything going on, but I'm not such a huge fan of her. Still, to be fair, she delivered a great performance, sometimes she overdoes it, or tends to get copycat, like Simon says, still she is a front runner.

    LaKisha was just too much. She has such a powerful voice. It's always risky when you choose to perform a song from a great vocalist like Whitney, because it is impossible not to be compared to the original singer and it might prove to be too big to handle, but LaKisha, God bless her, nailed it.

    Gina performed for the first time as her real self, she will never be able to oversing some of the girls, still she stands out, she has a nice personality and she performes. Nice one.

    Melinda, I just love this girl, she is my personal favourite. Her video about her "equal opportunities" made me crack because I do the exact same things.
    But her performance, oh my, she really is a tiger, and still she looks so shy and scared when she's done singing her butt off. Yet when she is on stage she looks comfortable and boy, can she sing. Blew me away last week, blew me away this week.moreless

    Most of the performances were really good, the results aren't so horrible - finally Antonella left, to bad for Sabrina.

    Jordin - Nice start to the show, it was clear from the first seconds the girls will do well. I thought Jordin was pitchy sometimes, but great performance nevertheless.

    Sabrina - The song was a little boring, but great delivery. Too bad she left.

    Antonella - The vocals were pitchy and weak. Horrible performance. Her answer to Simon was pathetic "I wish you wouldn't compare me to others in the competition... I've got my own style". What style is that? Obnoxious and off-key? My prayers have been answered, finally she left.

    Haley - The worst performance from her so far, really horrible. Why didn't she leave instead of Sabrina?

    Stephanie - She's such a great singer. Another very good performance from her.

    Lakisha - She sung it better than Whitney! AMAZING!!! Best performance of the night. My little sister watching (she's almost nine) said she's the opposite of Antonella - Can sing but not very pretty :).

    Gina - Great song choice. She looked kind of crazy sometimes but it's her best performance so far.

    Melina - Amazing performance, another great one from her. She looked comfortable on stage and cute as usual.moreless

    First off, let me say that I will be honestly shocked if Antonella and Haley make the finals. Yes, I know that another website is urging viewers to vote for Antonella because she is so bad. Blah. She is terrible and needs to go. So does Haley. They just lack any talent at all. I could not tell you how painful it is to watch them perform.

    That aside, Lakisha and Melinda will sail into the finals and deservedly so. I think a few other guarantees are Stephanie and that rocker chick. I would be quite surprised if Jordin or Sabrina went home.

    My last comment--I thought it was hilarious that Simon reference Antonella's pictures and how well she's handled herself. That was quite a shock. I wonder if the producers put him up to it.moreless

    I disagree with the judges. I thought this was Antonella's weakest performance that failed to show off her soulful singer chops. But that's not the reason she may not come back. It's mainly her dress. Stop dressing like a girl scout, Antonella! Also, she should stop wearing that god-awful lip gloss.

    Sabrina had the best dress which was so outstanding, it outshown her vocals. My compliments to the dress designer. However, singing-wise, she's slipping away.

    Even though Melinda closed the show, I really didn't care for the song, which was utterly short, and don't think that just because she strained the vocals for gutteral grunts, it came across as better than the competitors. They usually save the best for last, but I thought the Woman song was quite disappointing.

    I liked Stephanie the best but the judges condemned her for singing it too much like the original recording artist (Chaka Khan?), yet they didn't say boo when Lakisha did EXACTLY the same thing. Lakisha has a lovely voice, but all the songs she sings are beginning to sound the same. Perhaps it's because she stays in the same narrow vocal range with each song. Her voice is powerful, but it doesn't stretch the gamut.

    Gina is the next one out when the aforesaid are through. But considering she may be competing with the guys, that day may be a long time coming.moreless

    The Girls Were AMAZING (most of them) ! Way Better Than The Guys! They brought it tonight! My Favorite Was Melinda Doolittle, She Was OUTSTANDING! Her Voice, Energy, Personality. Man, She Has The "YO!" Factor! I Think She's Going to Be the One That's Going to Win American Idol, I Really Hope She Does! She Truly Deserves It! I Also Liked Simon's Comment about Her: "You Little Tiger! I Thought We Had A Cat, I Love That", That Was Funny! Others Performances I Loved Were Those Of LaKisha Jones, Who Is Also Incredible, Jordin Sparks, Very Talented Young Lady, Stephanie Edwards Constantly Amazes Me With Her Voice, And Gina Glocksen Who Finally Showed Us Who She Really Was! I Really Hope All Of These Ladies Make It To The Top 12 Next Week. I Believe That Either Antonella, Sabrina, or Haley Will Leave. They're Just Not Good Enough. But You Never Know...moreless
