  • Girls don't impress

once again the Girls are nt as good as the guys this year, Mandisa was great, Ayla and Kellie Pretty good, and no one else stood out, to bad we can't have 8 guys and 4 girls this year..the only Girl that would deserve top 4 is MAndisa, unless they really pick it up with the final 12
  • I agree, most of the performances were just okay...

I was actually pretty bored when I watched this episode. Though, of course, I loved Mandisa's performance! She has the greatest personality, heart, and enthusiasm of all the girls.

Ayla Brown - Didn't like her vocals with this song. There's nothing special about her, either.

Katharine McPhee - I loved her audition, but I don't think she's picking exciting songs. I did sorta enjoyed her 'Freedom' song. I dunno though, I really liked her in the beginning and was rooting for her out of the girls, but now I don't care for her. I think she's getting a little conceited.

Kellie Pickler - I think she has a very cute personality and a pleasant voice, but do I think she'll be chosen as the American Idol? No. I think she has a few more rounds left, and than will be voted off. (I actually noticed the different endings too of her song, as the other reviwer mentioned. ???)

Kinnik Sky - eeeek. She's such a sweet & friendly girl, but her voice just isn't pleasant to listen to. She's def going home next elimination!

Lisa Tucker - Wow, I just don't care for her. Her voice is nice, but there's just nothing striking about it, or her personality! The whole 'she's so talented for 16 years old' is getting tiring. She should stick to Disney movie songs because she is not right for this competition.

Melissa McGhee - Didn't like the song, but I think she has potential. Too bad, because I'm sure she's going home next round.

Paris Bennett - She's cute, but I don't care for her song choices. Nice voice, though.

I much prefer the GUYS over the girls!!!moreless

As always, Mandisa rocked the show! She is a powerhouse. Paris didn't do so well tonight. I really like her enthusiasm, but you'd think she would do better with her Grandma being a famous singer. Even though the judges didn't like Melissa, I love her sound. She needs to sing (if she gets the chance) 'Total Eclipse of the Heart'. I bet she would do that one great! I'm sorry for making anyone mad, but I can't stand Kellie Pickler! She does NOT have the best voice at all! Not even close! She is getting everyone's sympathy votes and she is trying to portray herself as this sweet, innocent, little country girl. I can't stand that! It's time for Kinnick and Ayla to go also! They are just alright, no wow factor there! I love Katharine's sound also. If I heard her or Mandisa on the radio, I'd turn it up! Lisa sounds good too, but there is just something that I don't like there. I hope the guys bring it tonight!!!moreless
  • Simon? Emotional? That's a shocker.

Overall, I think the girls did, as Randy would say, "Aiigght." Not great but aiigght. My favorites did fine, but weren't standout. Mandeesa was wonderful. Kelly Pickler wowed me, but I can't say that I was wowed by her singing. Rather by her complete cuteness. Such a little doll. And it is hard to believe she's that naive, but she seems to be. Come on, Sall-mon? Surely they have TV where she lives, so she'd have heard the word before.

I still love Katherine and Lisa, despite not-as-strong showings.

The one thing that made the show worth watching is Simon. He doesn't get that involved, normally. Could he have a crush on Kelly? Hmmm.moreless

I Was pleasently surprised at the performances last night. I though the girls did much better than last week, It seems like some of the girls sang like it may be there last week there. Paris sang a song that I feel was to old of a song for her. But did a pretty nice job on it. mendesa was amazing she is so confortable in her own self and they is portrayed in every song she sings, Amazing. Her vocals were the stand out performance of the night. It was so great to see Simon laugh at the last performance this is a rarity that I think Simon needs to show more often.moreless
