ABC (ended 2007)
he just bothers me cuz he thinks hes always rite
i like him he keeps the show funn but sometimes he dosent know what he is talking about
Are you kidding? I think he's the only one who knows what he's talking about on that show sometimes. There were a number of inventions that got through to the next round where Doug was the only judge to say no. The other three were getting all touchy-feely and saying, "I really like you as a person, what a great inventor you are." Meanwhile, Doug was totally willing to say, "But the invention itself is completely unfeasible. No." Feel free to correct me, but I don't think any of those cases (where he was the only "No") made it to the final 12.
And look at the semi-finalists that he chose: two of the three were really practical inventions that will sell millions of units. (I don't think that the toilet seat will appeal to as large a demographic.)
The one that i remember the most was that one boy who invented like the doggie air conditioner, at first Doug was like "dude you rock!" you know getting this kid all happy and then dropping the bomb on them and flatley saying "No"....i mean some of the things that he does...
Yeah, that was rather abrupt. I wonder if there were parts that the producers edited out in which he might have voiced his concerns before dropping that "No" on the kid. After all, they (the producers) do their best to surprise the at-home audience as often as they can.
Doug Hall Live at American Inventor Spot - www.americaninventorspot.com Sunday April 23rd 9:30pm EST
I just found out Doug Hall will be at the above site LIVE this Sunday night at 9:30pm EST. Word is he will be a guest blogger and taking all comments. Or at least, the intelligent ones. Not the whiners. I'll be there checking it out. I've got a few questions for sure. I guess the judges are starting to take notice of that site, because they get a ton of traffic. One blog article got like over 12,000 reads in 24 hours.
I'm a big fan, considering I have my invention posted in their invention gallery for free, and it has drove almost 1000 unique visitors to my site already. Not bad. I even have had a few interested parties who might want to buy/invest/sell my invention.
