This show debuted in February of 2009. It is a little different from 'Ax Men,' the History Channel's series about logging teams. 'American Loggers' offers a new angle. This time, we follow one group, nine brothers from the Pelletier family, who have all taken up the logging tradition. So you won't see as many of the outbursts and the contrasts that you see with the different companies' squads on 'Ax Men.' However, you still get an informative show. The Pelletiers battle nature and try to make a living-- just like anybody else. What do you do when the machines that clip tree limbs don't work, the company trailer is falling apart and you may have a problem because you culled more logs than can your trucks can carry? This is a welcome show, because it lets us into every step of the solutions. 'American Loggers' can be put alongside the ranks of 'Ice Road Truckers and other good work crew series. Watch it, I think you will enjoy.
