    A dramatised documentary of an appalling true story. The children of the eminent (but deeply neurotic) painter Mark Rothko had had only a little time to adjust to the fact of his suicide before their mother died suddenly and they were (at, more or less, college age) alone in the world. The attempts by various prominent figures in the art world to obtain from them all unsold Rothko paintings at a fraction of their value make for a riveting if unsettling TV programme, with the children gradually realising that they can't even trust the family lawyer, whom they have always regarded as their parents' best friend.moreless
