  • Two future movie stars in a Vonnegut story directed by future directing star Jonathan Demme.

    This episode is based on a short story by Kurt Vonnegut. It takes place in a small town. Oscar winner Christopher Walken plays a shy box boy who morphs into his characters at a local community playhouse. Up and coming star, Susan Sarandon plays his leading lady.



    What she cannot understand is his ablility to play complex emtional roles like Streetcar's Stanley Kowolski but is devoid and emotionless in real life.



    What she comes to realize is that his roles are his way of releasing his emotions. She of course falls for this enigma.



    This is a great well balanced progam that shows what the two stars are capable of doing.moreless
