The entire episode takes place in Los Angeles, a place where David Hasselhoff is sure has loads of talent. In all, eight acts went through and ten were sent home.
The first act to make it through came on the second day in Los Angeles. Bri, a seventeen year old singer, blew the audience and judges away with her version of "Burnin' Up" by the Jonas Brothers. She not only sang, but she also performed on the keyboard. Piers thought she had raw talent and David said she did a great job. All three judges said yes and she was on her way to the Vegas callbacks.
The next act to go through was TJ & The Little Mamas. The dancers ages in range from six to nine. Although they made it through to Vegas, odds are they won't make it to the short list. The were cute to look at, but their skill level wasn't all there. David thought they were very very very good. All three judges gave them a yes.
The third act to make it through was Miss Germany. She performed a fire breathing act and other fire related stunts. She wowed the audience and the judges with her use of the fire. David said she was on hot mama. All three judges voted her through to Vegas.
The fourth act to make it through was Janice Martin, who had an unusual combination of talents. She sang while twirling in silks and then played the violin while hanging upside down. David thought she was awesome and Piers thought she was a good singer and violinist. All three judges voted her through to the next round.
Next up was the Scott Brothers, who performed their version of popping. David thought they were terrific. they brothers were spot on with each other and in total sync.
The sixth act to go through was the ICONic Crew. They were dancers that ranged in age from fourteen to thirty six. They showed a great deal of talent in the brief period that they were shown. All three judges voted them through to Vegas.
The seventh act to make it was a variety act known as Mario & Jenny. Mario juggled chainsaws that really worked. He shocked and amazed the audience and the judges. David thought he was terrific and Piers said they were born to be Vegas entertainers. they had perfect timing and instantly got everyone's attention. All three judges voted them through to Vegas.
The last act to make it was a nervous Lawrence Beaman. He blew the judges and audience away by singing "Old Man River." Piers said he was amazing, while Sharon thought he was one class act. He brought not only class, but grace and talent as well. He received a standing ovation and even a kleenex from Sharon Osbourne. All three judges voted him through to Vegas week.
