There is not forum topic for the new season, so here I go. As much as I hated last season I am loving this one. Why? Four episode into the season I am getting good vibes. Same judges but somehow funnier and they are presenting quite good auditions. Of course the bad ones are there but they have to. Still I amagainst presenting small children in this show, that's not fair competition to the older persons. They should start a new show like America's Got Talent - Kiddies version and air it as children daytime television.

I am so sick of people saying that children shouldn't be allowed on this show! Part of the appeal of this show is that it's for everyone. And there ARE actually genuinely talented kids who have been on the show; Just look at Jackie Evancho. And when they're NOT that good, the judges are fair enough to let them know that they're not that good, and as long as America has enough acts to choose from (that didn't get buzzed or criticized), they don't vote for them. I mean some kids have made it through just for being kids, but those are generally following nights when Piers buzzes or criticises more than four acts. When it's four or less, America seems to be good enough about voting for those who truly deserve it.

Anyway, considering that this may wind up just like the other seasons, I'm keeping track of all of the acts that involve singing. So far, eight of them have made it into Vegas (and one rap group). There's probably only two or three more places to visit before callbacks, and I'm sure some of the singers will be going home from there.

It's looking pretty good so far, but I'm still making predictions as to whom they might be building up as the winner this year. Out of everyone so far, if this season ends up like the last three, these are who might make the Top 3:

    Winner: Ryan Andreas

    Runner-Up: Lys Agnes

    Third Place: iLuminate

i also don't like the children part of the show, half of them wouldn't have made it if they were older....

i don't watch this show that much anymore, but my favorite is that Landau frank sinatra singer

The kid acts are there to cater to the young demographics of the show, nothing more, nothing less. None of them have every won on the show, and they never will.

This show has a rather predictable and pathetic formula similar to American Idol with a couple of exceptions

-Awful acts on AI never make it, but on this show they do for entertainment and ratings reasons

-Good talent or great talent often gets axed on the show. The popular act is who wins.

Although that has made for a relatively good in the past, the formula is not working this season. The talent this

season has been the worst I have ever seen, and yet they are in Vegas and Hollywood. WTF?

This is officially the worst season ever. The auditions have been God awful. Howie, Sharon, are on drugs for letting some of these acts go to Vegas.

Worst yet they have sent some quality talent-Michael Truco, Cindy Chang home, and yet they let that bombed (not once, but twice) like Dani Shay stay or somebody like Sam B (a fat guy with no act whatsover) go through.

Laughable, laughable season, laughing judging. This show is laughable now.

The top 48 are out and this year there more variety in the mix. We saw a lot less dance acts and look like they are judging the children more strictly. Looks like we are going to have a real competition when they reach to the top 24.

I would like to point out that a child won the VERY FIRST season of this show! Furthermore, if you don't like any of the acts, then don't watch it! But I personally like a lot of the acts that made it and I want to watch the show to see them!

Season one was ages ago. I'll continue to watch it and speak my mind. I don't care if people like it or not this is a free forum, so it's people who have many different opinions. You'll find that I am not the only one saying these things and it HAS dragged the quality of the show down significantly.

Anyways, glad Dani is gone, she never really performed very well and did not deserve a second chance, so happy she is going, and a lot of the acts have gone home, so it's only a matter of time before the other poor acts (Sami B) go home. Hopefully, there will be a wildcard show, so some of the people who did not get a fair chance get one.

If you're thinking anyone like Cindy Chang or Ryan Andreas might be brought back for the Wildcard show, I just want to point out that it's not very likely. I've only watched the show since Season Four, but it seems like they never bring back the acts that were so unfairly cut despite their immense talent. Last season, the Wildcard show had a slight majority in acts that already had their chance in the quarter-finals. (There were five acts who were cut from Vegas, and from what I can remember, Michael Grasso was the only one who I hoped they'd bring back.) The season before, after they unfairly cut a handful of good acts right as they were getting off their plane in Vegas, and they hyped up a bunch of wildcards who would get another chance despite all that, I got my hopes up that some of the acts that have been totally ripped off would be brought back. Instead, we got lip-syncing drag-queens and...guys who flip around. Did Simon Cowell REALLY think any of these acts were THAT GOOD!? Especially with the acts that still were not brought back!? Even that male singer who made it to the end was nothing special...

But anyway, what I'm trying to say is, if there's anyone who you think was that good and was unfairly cut from Vegas...don't hold your breath for them. I won't completely rule it out, but the odds of any truly-deserving act being brought back seem quite slim. The producers are just cruel like that. Besides, I think Ryan and Cindy were already screaming winner and runner-up, respectively. I think it would be nice for the singers' winning-streak to finally end, and there's no singer in the competition right now that seems all that likely to win.

But that's just my opinion; Maybe I'm wrong.

PS, Sorry for shooting down your comments. I'm just trying to enjoy this season is all...

    Here's to a non-singer winning this year!

Don't worry about it, no apologies necessary. It's just that I don't think the judges have done a really fair job as far as assessing the talent, and I definitely see the producers have a hand in this as some acts are very, very bad -but were passed for ratings and comic relief. I do see the quality of the show being dragged down because of this.

I remember last season they had a lot of magicians, Michael Grasso, another guy Antonio Restivo,, and somebody else, but they didn't make it. Cindy Chang I heard signed with an agency. I think they'll bring somebody from the wildcard who didn't get a fair deal.

And I agree with you, I hope a non-singer wins this year.
