Episode Summary

July 24, 2010 - Was Justice Served? Update
Did a so-called convicted killer kill Norma Helmig, in the summer of 1993 or was he wrongly convicted and the truth has not been uncovered, maybe someone else did and possibly the subject was picked to get the real culprit to speak up? Find out.

Update: Now the subject may have a chance to get a second trial, on May 5th, 2010 there was a preliminary DNA Evidence hearing on whether to test DNA on evidence of Norma Helmig's Murder and why the original subject was convicted first hand and the judge ordered the Missouri State Highway Patrol to inspect the evidence to determine whether there is enough DNA to test, during the hearing a Sheriff then stated the subject did NOT throw hot coffee on Norma's face at a diner, unlike in the first trial where one officer said he did, despite the written report on the incident used for Norma's murder trial.
Then on July 6-8, 2010 a Writ of Habeas Corpus hearing in Maysville, Mo., was held and the subject's new attorney subpoenaed two dozen witnesses to testify either in person or by videotaped deposition, including many whom "America's Most Wanted" interviewed and had never been allowed to testify during the original trial, along with the Sheriff, Deputy Sheriff and a former State Trooper who originally testified in court during the original trial.

Cases Profiled: Murder of Norma Helmig, Henry Chavezmoreless
