  • Oh my it's ANTM!

    9.5
This episode begins with, as could probably be expected, Allison whining about something or other. Oh right, the judges say she always give the same look! We are then treated to a slideshow of Allison's same-look pictures, and wow, they really do look the same: big eyes, little mouth, forehead pointing straight at the camera. Way to go, Allison! I must say, at least she takes attractive pictures though, right? And who's predicting she's going to be in the bottom two this week?

Then there's a throw down between the "spoiled rich white girl" and the "hardcore 'hood black girls", probably edited to look more extreme than it actually was. However, in the course of this Natalie (who is, I have to say, probably the only one who actually LOOKS like a model in the entire house) says, "It's not my fault I was raised the way I was raised!" Yeah, darnn straight betch! But you know, you DO actually have a choice in whether or not you go prancing around saying, "I grew up in a better place than you did!" And also (just to add on)- since when did doing your dishes correlate to where you were raised?

Finally! It's Tyra mail! It's something about being molded, and the girls instantly put on confused expressions. "Like a sculpture?" they ask. "Will we be nude?" queries Fo. Oh my goodness Fo, I think I love you. But speaking of nude... what happened to the every-cycle nude shoot that ANTM used to have? Are the girls just too ugly for that kind of exposure now? Or what?

So turns out it's a theater teach! With Paulina! She has them do some "expression" exercises, then says they'll be reading lines with.... Clayyyyyy Aikennnnn (I wanted to do that in all uppercase, but the dumb thing wouldn't let me)! Finally, somebody guest-starring who I've actually heard of! The girls get scripts and do their scenes... Natalie acts like Natalie, Alison struggles seeming haughty rather than scared, Celia freaking NAILS it, and London overacts but gets the prize. I'm just going to say, even though I'm NOT a Celia fan, that prize should've gone to her.

The prize are several pairs of jeans that London decides she can't fit- apparently she's put on weight. Now, I don't really see it- she's always been kind of on the large side for a model, right?- but seriously, London, you're in a modeling competition, why in the world would you GAIN weight now? Most girls get skinnier!!!

So they walk into some random-asss building, and who do we see but... McKey! The girl is gorgeous, still, but let's face it: she's one of the most boring people in existence! And have we seen her modeling all over the place? Um, not really, no. But yes, she gives us a 30-second sound bite about the "easy breezy beautiful" foundation, and then we get into the actual commercials.

They all do an okay job- Celia does pretty well, Natalie has that haughty thing going on (she's gorgeous, though), Allison has the most adorable little vest thing on, and Thalia is, as always, insecure.

When they're called into judging the judges comments echo this. It does seem like some of the judges comments are pretty all over the place, though... some are calling Allison "cold," others "the same," others "boring." It's like, decide already! Also, once the girls are gone, they're giving still DIFFERENT feedback! No wonder so many of these girls get confused!

They call out the girls, leaving Thalia and Allison in the bottom two. I'm crossing my fingers that Thalia leaves-- I'm over her and her self esteem issues. Plus, I love Allison, she seems really sweet. Annnnnnnd: Thalia will not be america's next top model!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It should come as no surprise that her closing speech is riddled with "hopefully I'm a role model to somebody out there" and "because I'm a burn victim." Honey, feeling insecure about yourself on a reality show is hardly what I'd call a role model. Just sayin'.

So what do people think? Who should win? Is Natalie too **** Is London too fat? And does anybody else think Celia looks like she's in her mid thirties?moreless
  • The girl who will have to pack her bags and leave is..

    10
TAHLIA! It's. About. Time. The judges endlessly talked about how the cameras loved her yet her personality lacked in person.. I disagree. I thought she lacked in both departments. Every week, they just pitied her and kept on giving her second chances so I'm glad that they finally got rid of her. The girls had to shoot commercials for their photoshoot and surprise, surprise, Celia won! Celia also did exceptionally well for the challenge except London won. The guest judge was Clay Aiken and I thought he did very well when it came to critiquing and complimenting the models. He's a natural! The Bottom 2 was Allison and Tahlia. Honestly, I think Allison is the next one to go. Fun episode! It really showed everyone's potential with commercials.moreless
