Ebony becomes obsessed with improving her skin, which leaves behind a mess for the other girls to deal with. With the numbers dwindling, the remaining girls are forced into closer quarters. And as the saying goes, familiarity breeds contempt. The girls are sent to an acting coach to prepare them for a suprise later on...there's no photo shoot, they're actually acting in a commercial! And one girl can't cut it.moreless

I was fun to watch them learn about acting. I really like how they shoot a commercial instead of doing a regular photo shoot, because it allowed them to use their acting skills. I also liked it because it tested them in walking the right way and memorizing lines. Watching the acting competition was also interesting. I especially liked the reward and how it took place in the house, while they were cleaning. It was a little random that J Alexander showed up at their house but I thought it was funny how they got in the booty shaking competition. I liked seeing their trainer again and it is good to see how that is progressing. When Ebony’s girlfriend came over it was very interesting to watch. I could not believe how Robin acted. I really liked how Adrienne was more accepting of it. I was so glad that Ebony was eliminated because I could only take so much of her. This episode was really good because we got a chance to see their acting skills.moreless

Ebony is the fourth model to be eliminated from the competition because her looks are too aggressive and do not come across feminine enough.

This episode bothers me for a couple of reasons. First, I should note that I am not a fan of Ebony. Not that I have some kind of personal vendetta against her, she just is too harsh. This was the episode when I first wanted to kill Robin. Hey girl, we all know you're a self-proclaimed Christian, stop telling us every time the camera comes on your face. When she learns Ebony is a lesbian, you can see panic running right into her brain, as if she had been 'deceived' into thinking, heaven forbid, she was living with a 'fornicator' all this time, of 4 weeks. Right off the bat, she makes sure to tell Ebony that she is an abomination against the Lord, but that Robin is not judging her, just expressing what God has said. Okay... Second, Ebony is eliminated based on her looks. Yes, she does not come across as 'light' or demure as some of the easier girls, but Tyra and co knew that when they picked her in the finals. She had the 'edgy' card. This bothers me because, in every season, they seem to cast the stereotypical 'angry African-American"...and in season 4, they cast 2. Perhaps they should have helped Ebony in learning how to soften her strong jaw and lower features rather than label her as "too aggressive".moreless
