In her photo shoot, one of Sarah's emotions was supposed to be regret. But when she got in front of panel 'regret' had turned to 'sad'.
Dionne's nickname is eventually changed to Brown by Tyra. Renee's nickname was changed to NeNe.
(Jaslene and Jael keep their original names)
Dionne won this weeks challenge by impressing Benny Medina more than the other girls. Her prize was a Ked shoes photoshoot for Seventeen. She chose Whitney and Jaslene to share the prize with.
Call out order:
Sarah and Whitney are in the bottom two. Sarah was eliminated because she was too "pose-y" and couldn't let go in her photo shoots.
The episode is named for Jael, who gets pushed into the pool at an industry party by 50 Cent.
We learn that Dionne has a daughter.
Renee assumes from the Tyra Mail that mentions Funky Cold Medina that the party they go to will have transvestites in it. Although the song does mention a man in drag, the phrase was a reference to Benny Medina, Tyra's manager, whom the girls met at the party.
Jael: The looks I come up with are not necessarily easy for me to portray. But...easy's boring.
(on the phone with her mother)
Sarah: Well, I know I'm probably going to be in the bottom two this time.
Sarah's mom: It was one shoot, honey.
Sarah: Yeah, girls have gone home for one shoot.
Jay Manuel: Now, we gotta sell 'Jael The Revolutionary/Peacemaker'.
Jael: Because I'm a martyr of the universe's happiness. And you may capture it.
Jay Manuel: Ooohhhhh, Lord!
Jael: I get to decide what my makeup and hair's gonna look like. You guy should be afraid, you're giving Jael freedom.
Miss Jay (to Dionne): Don't go adding no Wholahay Brown.
(to the photographer at Jaslene's shoot)
Jay Manuel: You know how in The Jungle Book they go, "He was raised by a pack of wolves"? She was raised by a pack of drag queens!
Jaslene (laughing): I was.. Literally.
(Benny hands Dionne a handkerchief when she starts crying)
Benny: Don't mess that up, it's Hermes.
Natasha was voted Covergirl of the week.
Funky Cold Medina
The Tyra Mail warns the girls to beware the Funky Cold Medina. This is a reference to the song by Tone Loc.
