Episode Summary

EDIT
Benny Ninja takes the models for a lesson on high fashion posing on high grounds as the models are required to pose in the air while jumping off a trampoline and later while being lifted by an ice skater for their challenge. When the winner of the task is announced, however, some of the other competitors become jealous. Finally, the top models must work the camera in a fierce photo shoot that requires them to pose as gargoyles on the top of a building.moreless

  • Learning about posing requires more athletic activity and cordination than the girls could have expected. Then they have to do a photo shoot on the top of a building

    8.7
I liked how they did the posing challenges. It was fun to see how comfortable they were jumping on a trampoline and I could not believe how much better some people were than other people. The ice skating challenge was also good. I love how they have to do the poses while focusing on something else that is complicated. It was really funny how Lisa won after doing so bad on the trampoline. It was great to see some of the overconfident girls reactions. The photo shoot as gargoyols on the top of the building was just ok. From watching it on tv it did not seem very intimidating to be up that hign. I didn't mind that Janet was eliminated, since I didn't really like her.moreless
  • Photoshoot as a 'Fashion Gargoyle"

    9.8
This week's episode was pretty good. Bianca gets on my last nerves. She thinks she is so perfect, when she is just jealous of Lisa, yes, jealous, she obviously is. Lisa did an amazing job this week and I hope she continues to do a great job because she grew on me. The photoshoot was on top of a really tall building and Ambreal was scared of heights so she had a rough time. I thought he picture was horrible. Heather needs to work on he photos because she has too many profiles, which needs to change. I hope Bianca screws up soon because I don't like her!moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (5)

    • The bottom two this week; Ambreal for not having good poses and Janet for needing so much coaching during shoots. In the end, Janet was sent home.

    • The list of chores that Janet posted on the refrigerator reads as follows:

      CLEAN UP

      Trash & recycling: Victoria
      Dishes: Lisa, Sarah
      Sweep: Ambreal, Bianca
      Vacuum: Chantal
      Wipe surfaces: Sal
      Towels: Janet
      Water plants: Heather
      Tubs, Sinks, Showers: Janet, Ebony
      (Clean!)

    • Someone messed up in the editing room... At the beginning of this episode, Janet posted a list of chores for the girls to do - with Victoria in charge of trash and recycling. But Victoria was cut in the previous episode.

    • The challenge this week was for the models to display an assigned emotion while being lifted by Olympic medalist Lloyd Eisler. Lisa won the challenge and selected Ebony and Janet to join her in a Seventeen Magazine photo shoot with ANTM Cycle 6 winner, Dani.

    • This episode is named for Ambreal who is scared of heights.

  • QUOTES (1)

  • NOTES (3)

    • ANTM Cycle 6 winner Dani has obviously taken Tyra's advice and worked on her Southern accent--it's greatly faded since her time on the show.

    • Olympic medalist Lloyd Eisler assisted in the ice skate/pose challenge this week. He sparked controversy on the set of Skating With Celebrities when he began an affair with his partner, Kristy Swanson, while married to his wife Marcia, who was 8 months pregnant at the time.

    • For the third week in a row, Heather is Covergirl of the Week.

  • ALLUSIONS (2)

    • Bob Fosse

Still comparing Janet's look to that of Liza Minelli, Tyra and the panel start doing side snaps and tipping imaginary bowler hats--moves made famous by choreographer/director Bob Fosse.

    • Sarah: Lisa is insecure. It's kind of annoying, like Debbie Downer.

Sarah references a character from Saturday Night Live played by Rachel Dratch, who is constantly drepressing people with her dreary outlook on life.
