  • the lady's get a new photo shoot and Casandra goes mental on the fact that Tyra wants her hair shorter and goes home.

This episode was ridiculous. Casandra should have just stuck to pagents. That was a stupid thing to overreact to. I mean I to would not want to loose all of my hair but if it was really something she wanted to do she would have given it up so easily. And as for the photo shoot it was not one of the best for all of the girls. Out of all of the pictures there was only like one good shot. I did like the out come of this episode because Casandra left and i did not like her because she was such a winerand complainer but I also did not like the outcome because it was the week where Sarah left the show.moreless
  • Well quite of suspense and for me runway episodes would have to be like the darkest part of the entire competition.

Well quite of suspense and for me runway episodes would have to be like the darkest part of the entire competition. I was quite sad about Jayla getting her hair cut well I loved her with long hair, anyway I love Ms. J's quote Jayla you're so out of touch. Gotta love that and it is a nerve-wracking moment for Kim you know what that is if you've seen this episode.moreless
  • Ding Dong, the witch is dead...

    8.5
I'm ecstatic that Cassandra left. Maaaan, she was such a whiner. When they initially cut her hair, I actually felt bad for her. I thought, "God forbidden she gets voted off, she doesn't look like a beauty queen anymore!!" But hey, this is what she signed up for. She wanted to be a model, and as a model you have to make drastic changes along with the industry. She obviously was not model material because all she has done is cry about it ever since.

So now we come to this weeks episode and they ask her to clip off one more inch. IDIOT they already cut off like two feet of hair, what's another inch?!

As far as Sarah, I liked her. Sorry to see her go. This photo shoot sucked and none of the girls came out that great.moreless
  • Guess why I like this episode...

    9.5
Because Cassandra leaves. Don't let the door hit you on the way out!

And Sarah gets to go to. I don't mind her, I don't think she's particularly pretty, and I wish that she'll be more commited so that she'll be successful after this.

The only downside to this episode is that the photoshoot concept devolved from last episodes. I really thought the photoshoot concepts were getting better. Damn!

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (6)

    • Take a look at the outfits the models are wearing in the rotating runway challenge. They're totally different from what they have on when the winner is announced.

    • In this weeks photoshoot the girls posed as fashion victims being chased by the fashion police witch (portrayed by Miss Jay).

    • Kim and Sarah are in the bottom two this week. Sarah is eliminated because of her bad photos and runway walk. The judges also feel that she is lacking self-confidence.

    • It's strange that Cassandra had to leave for refusing to cut an extra inch off her hair. Other models have taken a stand (Robyn and Shannon from cycle 1 and Anna from cycle 2 all refused to pose nude) and had it affect them at panel, but none were forced to leave immediately like Cassandra.

    • Cassandra opted to leave the show rather than cut an additional inch from her hair. She is the first contestant in Top Model history to voluntarily leave the show.

    • The episode is named for Kim, who made a disclaimer before doing her walk for the panel's challenge.

  • QUOTES (7)

    • Cassandra: It wasn't just cutting and inch and a half of hair for me. It was the last straw in them completely trying to change who I was.

    • Bree: (out of breath) My weave is sweatin', I gotta go!

    • (on the phone with her boyfriend talking about Kim)
Sarah: We were flirty, but that's about it. The only thing is though is that she's gay. So, it's like, weird.
Brandon: Oh, I'll just say goodbye now.

    • Kim (to Miss Jay and panel): I just want to say before I walk that I know I didn't make you proud the other day, but I want to show you that I'm going to keep improving, I'm going to keep practicing, and it's gonna get better.

    • J.Alexander: Jayla you are soooo.... out of touch.

    • Jay Manuel: So you're not ready to cut your hair yet?
      Cassandra: No.
Jay Manuel: You know what I don't really have time for this now, you just gotta leave my set.

    • Jay (to Sarah): Pretend like you're Cassandra with a new haircut. You're running from the scissors!

  • NOTES (3)

    • Original International Air Dates:
Czech Republic: November 5, 2011 on Prima LOVE

    • It's strange that Cassandra was forced to leave the competition for refusing to cut an extra inch off her hair. Other models have taken a stand (Robyn and Shannon from cycle 1 and Anna from cycle 2 all refused to pose nude) and had it affect them at panel, but none were forced to leave immediately like Cassandra.

    • Nik was voted the covergirl of the week when this episode originally aired.

  • ALLUSIONS (4)

    • Sarah: Like Princess Leia?

Sarah is of course referring to the character Carrie Fischer plays in the Star Wars series of movies.

    • Twiggy: It looked like you were going crooked and one leg moved very strange.
Miss Jay: Like My Left Foot.

Miss Jay compares Sarah's crooked walk to the lead character of 1989's My Left Foot, who has cerebral palsy and learns to paint and write with his only controllable limb - his left foot.

    • Sue Wong: You look like the Purple People Eater.

Miss Jay's look as the Fashion Witch is compared to the 1958 parody song Purple People Eater.

    • Bree: I'm Dorothy Dandridge and no one can tell me differently.

Dorothy Dandridge was a glamorous African-American actress who broke barriers in 1955 by becoming the first black woman to be nominated for a best leading actress Oscar in Carmen Jones.
