Andrew starts his journey at the Mayan temples and gives a brief history of that ancient culture. While there he explores the cave system Actun Tunichil Muknal aka the cave of the crystal maiden. You have to enter the cave by swimming in and once inside you see the human sacrifice chamber. The remains of people and sacrificial tools are seen and the most unique fossil the crystal maiden. The bones of a woman perfectly preserved on a high cleft now part of the rock. Next Andrew meets people friendly sharks and Andrew swims with and cuddles these dangerous creatures. Here in Amber's Cayle the sharks are used to being feed by people so after years of indoctrination they are don't hunt people. It's reveled that this breed of shark the nurse shark is a bottom feeder and doesn't need to keep moving like other species of shark. Andrew also tries the huge conch fresh from the sea floor. Back on land chef Jeff Spiegle prepares his unique take on Mayan cuisine. He demonstrates conch eyes, rhino beetle butter, and fresh lobster. Next Andrew meets Gilbert Usher a man who lives with and kisses some of the most deadly snakes in the world. Next Andrew meets Jillian De la Giselle who studies the healing power of Mayan jungle plants. After the jungle hunt Mayan priest pray a protection ritual over him. Next Andrew heads to a natural art museum with guide Gilvano Swasey. He explains that in the natural museum an artist starts a project and the natural surroundings finish it. Andrews next stop is Gales Point to see a traditional fertility ceremony. He meets Emmet Young who has his own drumming school and he attempts to teach Andrew the art of drum playing. While there Andrew meets the Gibnut a jungle rodent and delicacy in Belize. It became world famous when it was served to Queen Elizabeth to the outrage of the British. Next Andrew meets Myrna Manzanares she's the president of the peoples council and the village story teller. Later that night Andrew takes his turn at Sambai dancing during the fertility festival with comic results. In the final leg of Andrews journey he heads to Toledo with guide Jammal Crawford. The two eat stinking toe ballot a plant food that smells horrible but is sweet to the taste. After wards Andrew has a traditional Mayan meal not only prepared the ancient way but blessed in the ancient ritualistic way.
