  • An episode that really highlights what Andromeda does best.

Emotion. It isn't something that people consider beneficial in large quantities to a Sci-Fi action show but this episode shows that you can successfully merge action with emotion and suspense. I loved the contrast between the different aspects of Andromeda's AI. The 2D, the hologram and the avatar - by far the most human - where all trying to serve their Captain and crew the best way they knew how and their difference of perspective cause a fatal error in the core operating system. If that isn't a wonderful metaphor for human morality I don't know what is.

Dylan and Harper's desperate attempts to defend Rommie's humanity where awesome to watch and Sorbo and Doig really nailed that last scene, I loved the excitement Rommie felt at being back at the helm, so to speak.

When I tell people that I watch (and enjoy) Andromeda they look at me like I'm nuts. In the future I will simply recommend this episode to change their minds :D
