Did anyone like that ship design I thought that was the worst design ship ever in Star Trek next gen that starship Enterprise D  was a bad design and this ship is no diffrent I hated that design for years

I can't tell exactly what your saying... do you like it or not?

Personally I'm a little mixed about it. It's nice, but also very alien looking. I suppose that makes sense though.

The ship has a wonderful design, it is meant as a "space ship" meaning it cant land. The tubes around the main body are not pointless as many people think and serve as ammo launchers and thrusters on the sides and bottom. This allows a ship the size of a Star Destroyer (Starwars) to move as fast as a x-wing. or even better. And on most shows people stay out of asteroid fields, in Andromeda they go into the fields on a regular basis.

The amount of fire power she can shell out is amazing! Rommie once quoted "I can depopulate a earth sized planet in 6 minuets and 45 seconds." say it with me. Holly crap!!   They say it would take a throusand Star Destroyers to destroy a planet. *note I know it said destroy not "depopulate" but still!* The amount of damage she can take is almost as good.

I agree with you. I love the design of the Andromeda. It's functional and just looks really, really, cool!

Are you kidding? I love that ship. So elegant. I'd love to actually get on the Andromeda and just explore.

I think Michael Shanks would have something to say to both of you, right up and to the point where I beat him up for Lexa *coughs* anyways man those 'battle blades' were something else, really nice touch, you really don't see anything different between ships in battle mode and not other than some 'flashin' lights woo-hoo (sarcastically), personally I liked the way they handled the ship. Both thumbs up!

and if u look at the diz right u can see that every part of the ship is diz perfict even to cool diz on the hull of it

I like the design, but I've got one problem with it, or better it's a problem I've got with nearly all ships in the Andromeda-universe: you've got no point to estimate the size of it.

On Star Trek there were always the windows which let you estimate the size.

The Anromeda can carry about 4x more people than the Enterprise D but it still looks like a tiny toy.

    I think she's gorgeous!

My first reaction when watching a random ep of the show was how pretty it was, and especially the ship.

But I agree with above, it would be nice to be able to estimate the size of it more easily. (Windows are not necessary for doing so of course, I usually get a sense of size from verious one-man crafts that often surrounds bbig space ships (like in Star Wars for example))

I think that the design is cool and futuristic looking, remember that andromeda takes place in the year 5161 which is over 3150 years in the future!

That's usually how I gauge the ship size as well. I think it looks nice, but I never quite understood why it had the tubes on the side until I read this thread.

i do liker hte ship design but they didn't demistrate the side of the ship enough they did have one man crafts around the ship a few times and the Eureka Maru towing it or landing in one of its docs but i would think the Eureka Maru would be even smaller to the Andromeda than they showed the Eureka Maru was about a 5 crew ship so it is bigger that a one man drone but still looked a little to big near the Andromeda

    Just look how pretty.

By the way as for size I like to do a little mental replacement! See I picture the size of Becka at the helm of the Maru (as shown) as we have seen reference to many times and then i look at the Andromeda and picture how big the maru looks when docking which has also been shown as happening in the show. and then use that info to imagine how big Becka would be on the Andromeda and voila!

Make sense? .... no? ... huh, oh well, I tried! LOL!
