Trance: Alcohol doesn't affect me the same way it does you.
Beka: Yeah, right, like that time on Diphda 5. Next, you'll tell me you've got a hollow leg.
Trance: No, but I know where to get one.

Dylan: How you holding up there, soldier?
Trance: I'm pretty good. I'm actually really good, except my tail is gone. My butt kinda hurts. You wanna look?
Dylan: Uh. No. You rest.

Dylan: So, how are we looking?
Beka: Like targets. (pause) You know, I've gotten used to people shooting at me whenever you're around, but couldn't you have picked a more scenic location? I mean, a ramshackle bar on a backwater world whose main export seems to be miserable people?
Dylan: I told you this was gonna be an adventure.
Beka: An adventure. Sure. Excuse me while I try to contain myself.
Dylan: You know, these people, it's not their fault they're miserable. That's why you and I are gonna survive this thing. So we can work on making their lives better. Even if it is just a little at a time.
Beka: If I didn't think that were true, I wouldn't be here. But in case we don't make it through the night, thanks for the adventure.
Dylan: We aim to please.

Trance: (in a strangled voice) I can't believe that it's gone. My tail... is gone. I didn't even get to say goodbye to it. It was so pretty. My poor tail.

Hsigo: You think you can stop me, you overgrown grape?
Trance: I know this might be a stretch for you, but think. You're twice as big as me, and you look pretty scary, but I am still standing up to you. So either I'm crazy, or I'm really, really dangerous. Would you like to guess which? I didn't think so.
