      • Rox: Contrary to what most men think, there are certain situations in which even the most... majestic of force lances is useless.
Dylan: There is nothing useless about my force lance. (Dylan shoots the force lance, which has a grappling hook up to the top of the tower)
Rox: My turn to be impressed.
Dylan: I'll show you its other uses later.
        Rox: Promises, promises.

      • Beka: Well, all cliches of human females aside, I've never been late for a date, even a bad one. Which, come to think of it, is practically all of them. Rhade: I've heard.

      • Rhade: I admire your instinctive insight into smuggling, Beka. Beka: That'd be experience, Rhade. Not all of us are goody-goody academy pinheads.

    • ALLUSIONS (3)

      ADD ALLUSIONS
      • Hercules: The Legendary Journeys:

In the fight just after Dylan has descended from the Tower, he and Rox Nava are doing a stunt where they stand back to back and Dylan pulls her over his back - the same stunt is done by him (Sorbo) and Iolaus, on Hercules quite frequently. The move was codenamed "Thermopylae" by Hercules and his friend.

      • Rox Nava: Usually I'm not such a sucker for a man with so much muscle.
Dylan: Actually I'm not as big as I used to be.

This is a reference to the fact that Kevin Sorbo had quit hitting the gym as hard since finishing playing the title role on Hercules, and had lost a lot of his former muscle mass.

      • Rapunzel: The woman in the tower is similar to the German fairy tale Rapunzel by the Brothers Grimm.
