      • Doctor Who:

While other Sci-Fi shows have alternate reality episodes, this Andromeda episode is mostly reminiscent of the Doctor Who serial "Inferno" as it has the hero being transported to an alternate reality due to the unintentional results of an experiment. The alternate reality that the hero arrives in has been projected as a possible future in his own reality.

      • Beka: Brain the size of a planet. This is the second of recent Andromeda episodes to make references to Douglas Adams' masterwork. In this episode, we have the hero finding himself looking at a giant statue of himself with birds... and later, an android is referred to as having a brain the size of a planet.
