Andy is golfing with Guy Halversen, an obese, slovenly dressed client. Guy is eating a sub with three kinds of ham, smoking and his caddie, Brian, reminds him to take his cumadin. Andy is concerned about his health, but Guy waves it off. He chokes on some cheese, spitting it out. Guy challenges Andy to a race. Andy pulls ahead, but as he turns to see where Guy is he notices Guy clutching his chest and collapsing. Guy dies.
Andy is getting a drink in Wally's restaurant. Simon and Wally offer condolences. Andy tells Wally Guy was more of a client than a friend. He thinks a moment and says, "Although for a client he did eat off my plate fairly often." Andy goes back up to his office and finds the woman he wanted the file from previously sitting in his office. She tells Andy, "I made $18.50 an hour at my old job. I expect the same here." Andy says, "Of course. Who are you?" She tells him, "I'm Nicole. From The Long Beach Star." She tells Andy the files he stole got her fired. She tells Andy he has hired her. He says he didn't but she ignores his remark.
A woman enters the office and Andy greets her as Wendy. She is the widow of Guy. Nicole introduces herself to Wendy as Andy's assistant, tells Andy his 9:15 is there, and that she is going to lunch. Wendy is there to hire Andy to investigate what she believes was Guy's murder. She recounts that Guy was in the prime of his life, so he would be the last person to have a heart attack. Therefore, it must be murder.
Andy reminds her of Guy's team of cardiologists and his sandwich but she cuts him off stating he was murdered. She believes someone killed him because they were renewing their vows in Carmel. She knows someone was jealous. She states that Guy was achingly desirable and there were bound to be other women. She tells Andy, "You find the mistress, you'll find the murderer!"
Andy and his wife Jenny are gardening and discussing Guy. Andy mentions that the doctor believes it was natural causes. Jenny reminds Andy that Wendy said Guy was having an affair. Andy talks about how Guy was of poor hygiene, unattractive. His wife is silent, not saying anything. Jenny admits having an attraction to Guy, which Andy finds hard to believe. He mentions how Guy smelled. Jenny says, "Those are called pheromones Andy. And he was lousy with 'em."
Simon goes to ask Andy to eat and finds Nicole in the office. He is obviously attracted. She introduces herself. She is sarcastic to Simon but it does not dissuade him from inviting her to watch "Jungle Fever" or "Taxi" with Jimmy Fallon and Queen Latifah with him. She says, "Why would you think I'd want to watch those movies? Because I'm black?" Not phased Simon counters, "And because I'm white."
Andy goes to talk to Brian, Guy's caddie. Brian congratulates Andy on winning the race which Andy finds awkward. Andy asks Brian if he knew of Guy having an affair with anyone. Brian tells Andy that Guy was having an intense conversation with June Park the Golf pro. Andy goes to the practice green and June finds him there. She offers him some tips, and Andy asks, "Hey did you murder Guy Helverson?" She gets very defensive then upset before leaving.
Andy and Jenny are in bed working on their laptops. Andy is distraught over Guy's death. Jenny notices a condo online at 1525 Morris Road for sale that belonged to "Double Meat Enterprises" which was Guy's company. Andy knew nothing about the condo that Guy owned for 3 years. The property went up for sale the week prior, before he died.
Andy is front of the condo when his phone rings. Not recognizing the number he picks up to find it is Nicole, his assistant. He reminds her that he never hired her. She wants to know when her insurance kicks in, she wants to schedule some elective surgery. She is affronted to learn that he doesn't plan on coming in the office. She tells him she wants notification of his absence the night before because she busted her ass to get in by 11.
Simon comes into the office eating a black and white cookie, flirting with Nicole. She just sits at her desk staring at him, unspeaking. Andy goes into the open door of the home (which has 222 on the door) and finds mail addressed to June Park along with pictures of June in bed with Guy.
Wally and Simon surmise that Guy killed his mistress out of their love nest to renew his wedding vows with Wendy. They think June murdered him. Lew walks into the restaurant with Guy's toxicology report. His pumper gave out, no murder. He hands Andy the file. As Andy looks through the file Simon asks about Nicole. He asks Andy, "Tell her I want to be Hootie to her Blowfish." Andy closes the file stating he was murdered. There was no cumadin in his system.
Andy and an officer get into June's locker and find the cumadin and the placebo pills. Andy tells the cop that June is a possible flight risk, suggesting a full manhunt. The officer points and says "She's right there." They take June in who protests killing Guy, saying he was the sexiest man she had ever been with. She says she loved him. She pleads with Andy to find out who the killer really is.
Andy and Lew are discussing Guy. Andy is wondering if June really did it. She seemed sincere to him. Lew assures Andy she did it. Andy realizes he can check the video of the discussion between Guy and June the week before. The man at the counter agrees to let Andy see the tape, but Lew reaches over the counter getting rough with the guy as if he refused. They take the tape to Wally.
There is no audio but Simon watches so many movies at the video store without audio that he can read lips. He makes what is obviously a guess at their conversation and their attention is drawn to Nicole, who accurately, fluently reads lips. She says she has a deaf brother. Simon tells her he likes Stevie Wonder. Nicole reads their lips on the tape and discovers that Guy had another affair, with a slutty blonde who has a butterfly tattoo. Andy is flabbergasted that Guy was having yet another affair, he still doesn't see the attraction. Simon tells Nicole, "Blondes do nothing for me. Except Lil' Kim."
Andy returns to the country club looking for a blonde. He finds Brian working on a golf cart. Andy asks if Brian knew of anyone else involved with Guy. Brian tells him only June. Brian is bending down as Andy describes the other person. He looks down and notices Brian, a blonde, has a tattoo of a butterfly on the small of his back. Brian stands, swinging a club at Andy. Shocked, Andy defends himself saying, "Brian! I thought you said you liked big boobs." Brian says, "Well he had them!" Brian tells Andy it was hard enough sharing Guy with June but Guy was renewing his vows and leaving Brian. Andy jumps in the golf cart to escape. Brian is on top of the cart and they fight in the sandpit. Andy knocks him down with a golf club.
Andy and Jenny are in bed discussing the case. Andy is glad that Wendy can have peace of mind. Jenny says, "Right cause now she knows her husband wasn't murdered by his hot Asian mistress but by his hunky psychotic boytoy!"
