Episode Recap

It's storming outside and the room is littered with a trail of various items and broken glass. Angel sits up in bed as if he's suddenly in pain. He gets up and crawls out onto the balcony in the rain. Darla gets up and follows him saying: "Don't fight it my love. Just let it happen. It only hurts for a minute."

Darla believes that Angel is losing his soul, but as he starts telling her he's sorry that he couldn't save her like she just saved him she realizes that it didn't happen. She's in stunned disbelief as she was sure what they did an hour ago was perfect and that he gave himself over to her completely. She becomes angry and argues with him about the events of the previous hour. Angel has a flashback of Kate leaving a desperate message on the answering machine and starts to leave. As he walks away, Darla tries to stake him. He tells her to "get dressed and get out because the next time I see you. I will have to kill you." He exits as Darla glares after him with malice in her eyes.

Angel goes to Kate's apartment and breaks down the door when she doesn't answer. He puts her in the shower to revive her. She thanks him and firmly tells him to get out.

Lindsey opens the door of his dark apartment and finds Darla standing alone looking out the window. He turns on the light and speaks to her. He tells her he's been calling all night and was worried because "there's an order to stake you on sight." He wants to know where she go the ring she's holding and what Angel did to her.

Inside Caritas, the buzzer is ringing incessantly. Lorne emerges from his living quarters in a robe and presses a button behind the bar to open the door. He's visibly annoyed by the intrusion as Angel emerges from the stairwell and enters the club. Angel and Lorne sit at a table talking about the situation. Angel gets an attitude because he doesn't care for some of what Lorne is telling him. He asks Lorne what to do to fix things and Lorne tells him that it depends on if his crew lives through the night or not.

Cordelia gets out of a cab in front of the Sharp's house. She looks up and down the dark deserted street before approaching the door. The front door is ajar so she knocks and calls out to Mrs. Sharp while entering the house. She makes her way to the kitchen and finds the members of the Sharp family there. They are all dead. A look of horror passes over her face and then she has a vision of a demon attacking her. She gets up off the floor, turns around to flee, and finds the demon from her vision standing there.

Cordelia wakes up sitting on the floor leaning against the wall. She feels the back of her head and slowly rises but she is confronted by the demon and stops. He accuses her of destroying his spawn and she protests. He turns around revealing a third eye in the back of his head and she realizes that she, Gunn, and Wesley did destroy the demon's spawn when they removed the eye from Mrs. Sharp's daughter's head.

Wesley is moving around his apartment in a wheelchair recovering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen. A demon is watching his every move. He hears noises and looks in his entryway, but sees nothing. The noises grow louder and he backs the wheelchair against the living room wall and listens. He sees the demon outside the window, wheels over to the closet, kicks open the door, and struggles to get a shotgun and shells from the closet shelf. Once he manages to accomplish loading the gun, he wheels back into the living room aiming the loaded gun at the window. The front door flies open and he wheels around to greet an anxious Angel standing on the other side. Angel urges Wesley to "invite me in. I've never been here before Wesley. You have to invite me in." Wesley casually responds with: "Well, perhaps if you'd shown a bit of interest." Angel interrupts: "Wesley!" Wesley turns around just in time to see the demons crashing through his window and hurriedly invites Angel to enter. Angel asks Wesley if he knows what they are and Wesley speculates that they are adult Skilosh demons. They kill the two demons and Angel looks at Wesley with a smile. Wesley smiles back but quickly changes to a serious expression and asks: "What are you doing here?"

Lindsay and Darla are sitting on opposite ends of the couch from each other in silence. He gets up, takes his jacket off, and walks away. He walks back to Darla, throws his jacket on the couch and his keys on the table. He walks to the closet, pushes the clothes asides, and grabs his boots.

Angel and Wesley are in Angel's car trying to find Cordelia. She doesn't answer her cell phone and Angel says that she wasn't at home either. The conversation is strained as Angel tries to talk about personal things and Wesley keeps turning it back to business. Angel finally acquiesces and they discuss Wesley's knowledge of the Skilosh demons.

Cordelia tries to sneak out of the room but the Skilosh demon stops her and tells her that two more have died and "more must rise." Two of the demons grab and hold her as the third begins to approach her. She struggles, but they are too strong for her to get away. Her attempts at convincing the Skilosh demon not to inject its spawn into the back of her cranium fail.

Angel and Wesley are searching the office for clues to tell them where Cordelia might've gone. Angel assumes she's either on a date or out with friends, but Wesley disagrees. Angel thinks he knows Cordelia but Wesley rebukes him telling him that he no longer does. He tells Angel that the visions have caused her to become "a very solitary girl." He tells Angel that he could "turn away from the visions that were meant to help," but she was unable to do that. Angel says they have to find her and looks at the door because he hears someone approaching. They turn out the lights and prepare to fight if it's a Skilosh demon, but it turns out to be Gunn who saw the lights on as he was passing the office. Angel watches with a dejected expression as he realizes that Gunn and Wesley have bonded. They find Cordelia's message pad and realize that she went to the Sharp's to collect payment for the bill so they all head out in search of her.

Cordelia is lying on the floor and starts to wake. She gets up and sees the Skilosh behind her. She realizes she can see it with the eye in the back of her head. She looks at the eye in the mirror with a disgusted expression.

Angel, Gunn, and Wesley are in Angel's car racing to the Sharp's house. Gun expresses his anger toward Angel for abandoning the team when a Skilosh demon jumps on the trunk of the speeding car and tries to grab Wesley. Gunn punches it and knocks it to the street as Angel stops the car. More Skilosh demons approach them. Angel gets out of the car and tells them to go ahead and that he will meet them there. They drive away in Angel's car as he prepares to fight the Skilosh demons. Suddenly, the Skilosh demons jump aside as a truck comes barreling down the street and slams into Angel. The truck squeals its tires and backs over Angel as the driver is revealed to be Lindsey.

Gunn and Wesley are outside the Sharp's wondering where Angel is.

Lindsey runs into Angel with the truck again.

Gunn and Wesley decide not to wait for Angel and prepare to save Cordelia.

Lindsey gets out of the truck and walks over to Angel brandishing a sledge hammer. As he beats Angel with the hammer, he insists that Angel give him all the details of what happened with Darla. Angel refuses to tell him so Lindsey walks back to the truck and grabs a stake. Angel comes up behind Lindsey and punches him in the face as he turns around. Angel punches Lindsey several times, picks up the sledge hammer, smashes Lindsey's prosthetic hand, and kicks him in the face as he asks: "mind if I borrow your truck?"

At the Sharp's house, Gunn and Wesley have been captured by the Skilosh demons and brought into the house to be made hosts for more Skilosh demon spawn. Angel drives Lindsey's truck through the windows of the house and into one of the demons knocking it through the windows in the other side of the house. He gets out of the truck and fights the demons as Wesley removes the eye from the back of Cordelia's head. When the demons are dead, Angel rushes to Cordelia to ask if she's ok. She tells him she's not because "you really hurt my feelings."

Lindsey walks up to his apartment building and finds his truck with a broken windshield and a note on it that says Thanks. He looks for Darla in his apartment but she's taken her clothes and left.

Angel and Kate are in the garden at the Hyperion talking. Kate tells him she is grateful to him for saving her and that she believes. She says she thinks they "are not alone in this" and Angel asks why. She says: "because I never invited you in." He contemplates this statement but doesn't respond.

Angel returns to the gang's new and apologizes for firing them. He tells them he wants to work for them because he thinks he can help. Cordelia has a vision and she wonders why she's "not on the floor this time" after it passes. Angel is standing behind her holding her up and says: "I've got you." Cordelia looks from Angel to Wesley and says: "Maybe he should drive?" Wesley smiles and says: "Let's go."
