Does that match vampire mythology? In the Anne Rice series if you drink "dead blood" it will kill the vampire. Of course that could be her own invention so it doesn't necessarily apply to others.

Joss didn't let his shows be slaves to vampire mythology. It was his 'verse, and if he wanted vampires to be pink with blue polka dots, they would have been pink with blue polka dots.

If you actually read up on "actual" vampire mythology, and not those perpetrated by Hollywood and novels, you'd find that they are actually even more diverse. Who can decide what is actual mythology, and which is just tacked on by superstition.

This was the video that was used to sell the series as a concept. Joss and company made it for the WB executives and it has never been officially released (which is a shame).

One interesting thing about it is that the editor used those weird smash-crash links between scenes just because he wanted to give it a more exciting and interesting energy. Of course, they then wound up using that same technique throughout the whole series.

I would like to know what is the name of the episode in season 5, where Fred's parents come to visit and Illyria changes to look like Fred. I have been looking all over for it, and it's like it just disappeared. Any help would be great. Thanks

I've got a quistion about the season 3 DVD. I have seen two covers and I'm not sure which belongs in which region. One of them has Angel standing in the middle looking broody (surprise, surprise) and the other looks exactly the same, but he has his vamp face on. Do someone know which cover belongs where?

WARNING: image links. They're from Amazon though, so they should be fairly safe.

As far as I know, there are to versions of Angel DVDs. R1 and R2.

Neither of them seem to have the vamp-face you described though, so I'm not sure where that came from.

I have that one (Region two)

It has on one side Angel without vamp face and the other side with vamp face so it's actually the same dvd.

Did Buffy make an appearance in the last season? and was spikes appearance's after The last ep of Buffy?, annnnddd If The Buff did come on did she hit it off with angel? Does Angel turn human do you think or is it true spike does? ( coz im going to have to say Angel should have finally turned human, he soo deserves it!!!!!)

    ************SPOILERS***********

First of all, let me say that you should really watch the fifth season. It's available all over the place, you could probably even find a friend who has it and will let you borrow it. For that matter, it's available on Netflix for a pretty low monthly fee.

If you decide to take my advice, then stop reading here.

    Still there? Okay...
Buffy was supposed to appear in one or more of the final episodes, but due to filming The Grudge, Sarah was not available. Spike's appearance on the show was after the final episode of Buffy, but I'll leave the "how" of that for another time (or, preferably, for when you watch the DVDs). We don't know how well Buffy would have hit it off with tall, dark & forehead if she'd shown up, but we do get indications that the Scoobies do not trust Angel & co. as much as they used to. Neither of our ensouled vamps have turned human as of the final episode, however the story is going to be continued in comic books and almost certainly one or more movies which will either be showing up on TV or straight to DVD in the fairly near future.

Now, this is just broad-strokes so even if you read all this I still recommend watching the DVDs. Season five is one of the best (as a whole) and it really should be seen.

personally i'm glad Buffy didn't come back.
the only good thing about The girl in question was that Angel and Spike realised she was a slut and over them.

There's a mop at the door for you. Seems it's a little put off at being called a slut.
