LORNE's at the Washington Mall

    Welcome to the new and improved Lorne's in beautiful Washington D.C. We have built a new location at the Washington Mall, specifically we are next to the Washington Monument. It's not visible to naked eye, but it's there. This is a magical place that is violence free. All the major players in all the previous editions of Lorne's are back. They are quite literal and have a new boss, Z'Anya. Yes, Z'Anya. She is even more literal than the Zombie staff.

    When you enter Lorne's you must take off your shoes because we don't want to leave scuff marks on these marble floors. In the hallway, there are portraits of our past presidents. Once you leave the main hallway, there is a huge room that has the many Geek Thrones that members of this community have achieved. Lorne's has also added a triple-decked trapoline for you all to jump on. Unfortunately, the Bored Eliza Dushku Bot was broken when SleepTight played with her last. Unfortunately, Willow has been out of contact for the last year, so unless we find her or Gaius Baltar, it will be permamently out of commission.

    If you want to take a tour of nation's capital, feel free to ask our brand new zombie tour guides, which are Z'Chester A. Arthur, Z'Warren Harding and Z'Lyndon B. Johnson.

    I mean, not only might he prank us all by putting aerosol cheese in them, but what are we reasonably to fling?

    We have a shoe/coat room that is under 23 and a half hours surveillance, guarded by the Aaron Pierce Bot with the other 30 minutes guarded by Z'Kelso.

    Hello everyone. Nice new place. I'll only be here for a short time as I have to go find the new Battlestar Galactica episode. My DVR had an issue while I was at "Riley's". It had to be reformatted apparently so it deleted everything I had. Including the latest BG episode.

    I lost all of the eps of "My Own Worst Enemy" which I hadn't gotten around to watching yet. I lost the "Numbers" episodes. I was actually on this season, and I was up to November I believe. The last ep I seen was the one with the train crash so whenever that one aired that's where I was.

    Now I have to reprogram it to record all my shows which means I have to pay attention to when things start back up if they aren't on this week. This is the second time my DVR has done this since I got it, but I've had it for four or five years now so maybe it was time. I just hope the thing isn't on it's last legs or anything because I'm so used to watching things when I want now instead of when they actually air that I don't think I can go back. It'd be like going back to dial-up after having broadband.

    Actually, you can watch the ep on SciFi.com, Hulu.com, and even TV.com. I just finished and it was awesome! Though I'm a bit in shock from a few things.

    Speaking of shock, I had to turn off my ad blocker in order to watch the ep on SciFi.com. I didn't realize how much stuff it really blocked, including my own banner's in my sig line.

    The Dr. Horrible banners kept disappearing when I tried to add them to my sig line so I tried several more times. Even when I looked where I'd pasted them they weren't visable. Imagine my surprise when I see 4 banners. OMFG, I can't believe I've been running with so many banners on my posts since July. It never occured to me that it would block me from seeing something I put up myself.

    My DVR did the same thing, Cordy. The people at Midco said the networks had been fussing about with things in the countdown to digital which made everything go flooey and believe me when programs I wanted to record went skating on by I very much wanted an ass to kick.

    Only thing they could recommend was to keep an eye on your series recordings between now and then and be ready to reset stuff.

    Erg. Arg.

    P.S. -- Ah, so that's why you had four of those things.

    I have a confession. I watched the BSG miniseries and the first two episodes and...

    Well, I do really love it but I didn't really mean to have four banners.

    At least I know my ad blocking software really blocks all ads. No wonder I usually don't know what you guys are talking about when you complain about all the ads on this site.
