Glenn Christopher Martin Quinn died Dec. 3, 2002. He is buried at Forest Lawn-Cypress, Orange County, California.

We have lost a truly fine person and actor. John

Nothing really solid but Joss mentioned it a couple of times here and there that he had wanted him back and had made plans to revive Doyle.

I had really wanted to see Doyle come back. It would have been a great arch if Doyle would come back as a ultimate big bad,

It would have been cooler if Doyle had been Whistler from the start. My girlfriend and I didn't like him at first because he was just a Whistler-replacement. But of course, it's a little hard not to like Glenn Quinn.

I'd have liked to see Whistler and Doyle around.

Can you imagine Doyle interacting with Fred,Gunn,Wes,Lorne,Spike and Connor?

I can imagine Harmony telling Cordy her taste in boyfriends has improved since Jonathan,Devon and Xander.

    "I mean,he's short...and poor -but kinda cute,ya know?

The demon bit is SO not important.

(You know that Jude Law is a Bracha demon, right?)"

I am very sad to tell all you people. my favorite character on angel Doyle was killed off because he died in REAL life. from a drug overdose at a friends house. that is why its not actually him when he says to cordelia could you ever learn to love this face isn't really him. so no he is never going to come back to the show or spin off movie cuz sadly again he is dead. they originally wanted him to be a regular, he was not a jesse character! for more info on Glenn go on google then go on the idm and click on the biagraphy.

Okay, I'm not sure where you got your info. but it's wrong.  Glen Quinn was still very much alive when he left the show.

He did die from a drug overdose but it was years later.  Years.

Joss Whedon did want someone that he could keep in the credits for a few eps and then kill off.  He wanted to do it with Jesse but The WB wouldn't let him since it cost money.

When he did Angel he was allowed to do this.  Doyle was always meant to be temporary.

I have nothing to add. Thanks for fielding that one Cordy.

I would also like to add that the story about Glenn being fired for drug problems is also horse hockey. Joss has said many times that he pulled a Jesse with Doyle, just listen to the commentaries! He brought Doyle in to underscore the fact that no one was safe, as a way to transfer the visions to Cordy, and as a way to galvanize the team. Conveniently, he was also a good way to introduce Angel into his new surroundings, and thereby catch up anyone who hadn't seen Buffy.

Timeline: Doyle dies in the episode "Hero" - 11/30/1999 Glenn Quinn dies of a drug overdose - 12/03/2002

Shortly after his death, the rumors that he was fired for a drug habit began to surface. Many took it as gospel because it seemed to make sense. It is interesting to note, though, that Glenn was good friends with David Boreanaz and Christian Kane, and the three remained close after Glenn left the show. This would be rather unsual if he'd been fired (it's generally a bad idea to hang out with someone who was fired from your current job, especially for drugs). This is particularly true for actors, and especially when it's a group of actors who are as close as Joss and his crew.

Hmm... remember when I said I had nothing to add? I lied.

Yeah Joss didn't have enough money for Jesse to be in the main credits so he did it with Tara in series 6 by putting her in the credits the same episode that she died. She appeared once afterwards but was very still and if I say not as pale as she was in series 4.

I don't remember Tara making any kind of appearance after she died.

I'd have remembered my heart being ripped from my chest like that.

Tara never returned after her death. Not that Joss was against it, Amber Benson felt that her returning in ghost form for one scene was unfaithful to the character (AHEM, Smallville "Oracle 5.21). Other times, AB was simply busy.

Ahh, Tara. I never knew how much I loved you until it was too late...

True. By love I mean more of a "Hey, that minor character serves a minor purpose. Boy, I'm gonna miss that."
