Angel

A lot of children have been sent to the hospital not speaking with a weird smile on their face. The only thing that the children have in common is that they all watch a TV show called 'Smile Time'. After justing discovering Nina's feelings for him, Angel is quick to accept the case and goes to the studio to just check it out. But, Angel gets turned in to a puppet and now the gang has to save the children and gets Angel back to his proper body.

After puppet-Angel tussles with Spike and barely escapes werewolf-Nina eating him, the gang finds out that the puppets are the ones behind the soul stealing, not the show's creator. So, the gang kills the evil puppets and destroys the nest egg which holds the children's souls. Afterward Fred confesses her feelings for Wesley and a restored Angel agrees for a breakfast date with Nina.
