Gio: I heard you was, like, this big time, alpha vamp killer... Gio is making a reference to wolf hierarchy. The pack leader, usually the adult male and sire of the younger members, is called the "alpha." The term is used to discribe the leaders of other animal groups as well, from primates to naked mole rats.
