Animal Cops Detroit (and similar shows such as Animal Police and Animal Precinct) is a good show in that it makes people more aware of the horror that is animal cruelty.
Having said that, I do not like the show's way of handling pit bull segments. I am aware that Detroit has a problem with dog fighting, but with the hysteria surrounding the breed, it would be a responsible move to educate the public on the truth about pit bulls. More people need to realize that it is the deed (irresponsibility) that needs to be punished, not the breed.
