    Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

    FILTER BY TYPE

    • TRIVIA (1)

      • After Ms. Flameel demanded Yakko to count from 1 to 100, Yakko replies "Hey, it's a six-minute cartoon." This is technically incorrect, as this cartoon is approximately eight minutes.

    • QUOTES (8)

      • Miss Flamiel: We will begin class by reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. Please repeat after me.
Yakko, Wakko, and Dot: Please repeat after me.
Miss Flamiel: No, no, no! Wait until I start, then repeat after me.
Yakko, Wakko, and Dot: No, no, no! Wait until I start, then repeat after me.
Miss Flamiel: Stop that! I'm warning you!
Yakko, Wakko, and Dot: Stop that! I'm warning you!
Miss Flamiel: Stop it! Stop it! Stop it!
Yakko, Wakko, and Dot: Stop it! Stop it! Stop it!
Miss Flamiel: If you don't stop it right now, I shall scream!
Yakko, Wakko, and Dot: If you don't stop it right now, I shall scream!
Miss Flamiel: All right, that's it!
Yakko, Wakko, and Dot: All right, that's it!
(Miss Flamiel screams and runs out of the room, then Yakko, Wakko, and Dot scream and run away for a second.)
Yakko, Wakko, and Dot: (they get back in their seats for a brief moment) With liberty and justice for all.
(the Warners run out of the room again)

      • Miss Flamiel: Wakko, can you multiply?
Wakko: (literally multiplies like an amoeba) How's this?
Miss Flamiel: Not that kind of multiply! Let's move on...

      • Miss Flamiel: Yakko, can you conjugate?
Yakko: Me? I've never even kissed a girl!
Miss Flamiel: No, no, no. It's really easy; I'll conjugate with you.
Yakko: (to the viewers) Goodnight, everybody!

      • Miss Flamiel: Let's start with math. Yakko, can you count to one hundred?
Yakko: One, two, skip a few, ninety-nine, one hundred!
Miss Flamiel: No...Give me ALL the numbers!
        Yakko: Hey, it's only a six-minute cartoon...

      • Yakko: Wait! Don't you want to see our homework?
Miss Flamiel: How can you have homework? It's the first day of school!
Dot: Extra credit. (A halo appears above her head)
Miss Flamiel: All right, let me see it.
Yakko: We can't; our dog ate it.
Miss Flamiel: Don't lie to me...!
Dot: We're not lying. See? (points to Wakko, who is seen chewing up a piece of paper while standing on all fours like a dog)

      • Miss Flamiel: There hasn't been a child yet that I haven't been able to keep in line...except for Buddy Hackett, but that's genetic!

      • Miss Flamiel: What is the meaning of the word 'Procrastination?'
        Wakko: I'll tell you tomorrow.

      • Miss Flamiel: We'll move on to science. Dot, what can you tell me about the great scientists of the nineteenth century?
        Dot: They're all dead.
        Miss Flamiel: No no no!
Dot: All right. They're all living.
        Miss Flamiel: No no no!
Yakko: Well, now we're getting into philosophy.

    • NOTES (2)

      • Walter Wolf is properly introduced in Hurray for Slappy, along with Slappy's other enemies Sid the Squid and Beanie the Brain-Dead Bison making their debut appearances. Walter was previously seen in one of Slappy's old cartoons in Slappy Goes Walnuts, and Slappy mentions the other two villains in the same episode. Additionally, Frank Welker voices Walter Wolf in this episode, while Jess Harnell voices Walter in all subsequent appearances.

      • The Classroom Rules:
No talking, no moving, no guitar playing, no laughing, no squirming, no gum-chewing, no drawing, no smiling, no singing, no sky diving, no guts, no glory, no yawning, no ducks, no swimming, no shirt, no shoes, no service, no blah, blah, blah, no rock and roll, no vermicelli, no TV watching, no dogs allowed, no camping, no use, no salamanders, no running, no yelling, no raucousness, no stopping, no parking, no snorkling, no fishing, no smoking, no rain dancing, no square dancing, no service, no, no, no anything!

    • ALLUSIONS (1)

      • Fizzy Cola, Mama! parody

This is a parody of the famous old diet Pepsi commercials from the late 1980s that featured Ray Charles singing "You Got the Right One, Baby!" and playing the piano with several women dressed in sequin evening dresses.
