In this episode, instead of the typical "Are you pondering what I'm pondering?", Brain actually says, "Are you thinking what I'm thinking?"
The sound of a gong made Brain recite "I'm a Little Teapot", and the sound of a bell ringing made Pinky do a traditional Russian dance.
Pinky: We made it inside, Brain!
Brain: Czar Brain.
Pinky: Right, Czar Brain!
Brain: Yes, Pinky. There are fleeting moments where I even amaze myself.
Brain: He who controls the crown jewels controls Mother Russia!
Pinky: But I thought your mum's name was Desiree...
(after Pinky kicked Brain into the cage bars while dancing under the conditioning)
Pinky: What are you doing over there, Brain?
Brain: Contemplating your afterlife, Pinky.
(after Brain has finished singing "I'm a Little Teapot")
Pinky: Egad, Brain! I could watch you do that dance all day. Narf!
Brain: You have watched it all day, Pinky. Sixty-one times, to be exact.
Brain: Pinky, are you thinking what I'm thinking?
Pinky: I think so, Brain, but where are we going to find rubber pants in our size?
Brain: (under conditioning) I'm a little teapot short and stout, here is my handle, here is my spout. When I get all steamed up, hear me shout; tip me over, pour me out.
We learn that the Brain's mother is named Desiree.
Pavlov: Classic Conditioning
Pavlov was famous for developing classic conditioning. The experiement began with dogs that would be given food powder on their tongue (causing them to salivate) when a bell was sounded. Eventually, the dogs began to salivate to the sound of the bell alone. In this episode, the experiment is parodied by having Pinky & Brain dance & sing when they hear a gong or a bell.
