        This may or may not be a Marx Brothers reference. It's mentioned in Harpo's biography Harpo Speaks that "Ist das nicht ein Schnietzelbank" was the one semi-comedy routine that the brothers had in their early days as "The Four Nightingales". Given the number of references to the Marx Brothers throughout the series it seems more intentional than coicidental.
