  • Very funny and cleverly plotted episode

This was a great way to end season 1.The Warners are celebrating their 65 anniversary in Hollywood, but they are very bored during the presentation about their life. The flashback shows how they were created in 1929.At that time, there was a character named Buddy.a happy go lucky childlike character, who was very boring and his cartoons werent funny. So director Weed Memio wanted to add more characters to spice up Buddys cartoon,so Yakko,Wakko and Dot were created. In every episode they would hit Buddy with a mallet, and that made Buddy cartoons popular. But then Warner studio deceded they didnt need Buddy anymore,so they fired him and gave Warners their own series of cartoons. But their cartoons were too wacky and didnt make scence,so they cancelled their contract. So the Warners were free to run around the studio causing trouble,so they locked them in a water tower where they remained for 65 years, managing to escape once in a while. But a dark evil figure is setting a bomb on a stage to destroy the Warners. It turnes out to be Buddy, who is mad because Warners ruined his career. In the end Warners go up the stage to give their speech. When they talk about how they appreciate Buddy,Buddy joines them on stage.Just when he was about to give his speech, the bomb explodes blowing him up.This was a very special episode. Many people, including me,learned that there was really a long forgatten Warner character named Buddy, who was a bland and boring character, nothing more then replacment for Bosko. And not to mention that episode included Bugs Bunny,Daffy Duck,Yosemite Sam,Tweety,Slappy and Skippy,Baby Jane,Sparatacus,Liza Minelly,Bob Hope,Chickaboo and many more.If you havent already,I strongly recomend to wach this episode.moreless

    • It is revealed that the Warner siblings, after being locked away in the water tower in 1934, have to be let out every 11 years so the tower can be debugged. In 1945, they visited the Geneva Convention with FDR, Winston Churchill, and Joseph Stalin; in 1966, they masqueraded themselves as a Beatle-esque rock band on the Ed Sullivan show; in 1977 they taught Travolta the dance moves he would use in Saturday Night Fever and Grease; in 1989, they helped the people of East and West Germany by giving them hammers and picks so that they could break the Berlin Wall down. They were let out of their tower in 1994 so they could attend their 65th anniversery special.

  • ALLUSIONS (1)

    • Character: Buddy

There actually was a cartoon character named Buddy who, in the mid 1930s, had his own series of cartoon shorts at Warner Bros. Unfortunately, this character was so bland and so boring that Warner Bros. quickly sought to replace him. After Buddy was fired WB released a cartoon called "I Haven't Got A Hat" that starred a variety of cartoon characters, among them Porky Pig and Beans the Cat. The cartoon was to let the public decide who should be the next star, and Beans was picked with Porky as his sidekick. However after a few cartoons Porky proved to be more popular, and so Beans was fired and Porky was made the star. On a side note Buddy was a replacement of the more popular Bosko, who stopped being a WB star when his creators Harman and Ising left the studio in 1933.
