Antarctica: Life in the Freezer is a documentary starring David Attenborough and Robert Urich that was released in 1993. There are six 23 minute episodes that originally aired in November of that year. In this exciting series, they focus on the land, sea and wildlife of this curious continent. The episodes were filmed during different seasons so one can get a strong sense of the weather patterns throughout the year. Episode 1 features spring in Antarctica educating viewers on how the ice retreats and wildlife scramble to breed and gather food. By Episode 3 it is fall again and things are starting to freeze. Winter in Antarctica is long, without sun and said to be the most severe on this earth. Additional episodes include the lives of people living there and how they adapt to the seasons in this harsh climate.
