Anthony starts his journey in Crete and meets guide Byron a local food writer. Together the duo tour the fish market and he sees first hand the myriad of fish Greece has to offer. After ward the duo eat lunch Anthony is impressed with the tripe soup, greens, and lamb sweet breads. Next they head to the country side and sample Raki which is Greece's version of moonshine. Next Anthony speaks of his hung over feeling from last nights get together and with more liquor consumption. Anthony witnesses traditional dancing and lamb slaughter. After the meal more dancing and shooting of firearms takes place. The next day Anthony witnesses Greek green harvesting. The Greeks learned how to live off what is commonly considered weeds during world war 2. A local chef prepares a meal utilizing the greens. Next Anthony enjoys sea urchin with fisherman and cook Adante. The next day at a local bakery Anthony sees the pastry dish Filo being created. After wards on a boat ride Anthony and Byron talk about what it means to be a Greek. Next Anthony heads to the island of Zakynthos an island with a heavy Phonetician influence. While there Anthony goes quail hunting with guide Popos. They take the quail to a local restaurant and with it rabbit and stuffed spleen are enjoyed. In the final leg of Anthony's journey he and Byron enjoy a beach party enjoying fresh fish and Anthony begrudgingly accepting a paid family to dance the final scene away.
