Anthony starts his journey lamenting about how there are only 4 hours of sunlight a day during winter in Iceland. He then meets the worlds former strongest man and chef Greta at World Class gym. They enjoy a hearty soup designed to bulk up weight mass for power lifters. The banter is hilarious with on lifter saying he's horny and Tony pledges not to sauna with him later. Next Anthony heads to the country side and chef Siggys restaurant for smoked puffin, belini's, and organic lamb. To get to his picnic destination on the tundra Tony takes a dog sled. On the tundra Anthony walks as the wind and cold picks up and takes shelter in a cave. While there he drinks the Icelandic liquor Brennivín known in English as the black death. Anthony and his guides decide to eat indoors due to the blizzard. The next day Anthony sees examples of traditional viking dishes. Fermented sheep parts and shark bits, sheep's head, and blood sausage are displayed and Anthony will be eating them as part of a holiday dinner. At the dinner he meets Maria a local who explains the holidays meaning and despite a great buffet Tony is bored to tears. Next Anthony meets Sigmar and he eats Plot Fiskar a traditional cod dish. Next Anthony heads to a spa for a message and therapeutic mud bath. Next Anthony explores the bar hopping culture of Iceland and meets with his fellow chefs as they wind down from long work days. In the morning Anthony goes to the Blue Lagoon a heated lake full of minerals due to volcanic heating. The show ends with Anthony and his version of a tourist commercial for the country. One that paints a truer picture of the people and the climate of the nation.
