    • Tony: (to Andrew Zimmern) Listen dude, you can be that informative on your show. This show is all about me. Generally, me going like this (takes bite) "Mmmm that's really good." And, that's really all the context I provide. So, stop making me look bad.
Andrew: If you're eating on No Reservations the bottom line is shut up and eat.
Tony: That's my new catch phrase.

    • Tony: (about Times Square) How did this become a theme park? How did this become Disney World? Where's the sleaze?

  • Notes

    • This episode was part of a crossover special between Anthony Bourdain and Andrew Zimmern's Bizarre Foods. While both aired in their regular time slots, it was advertised as Zimmern & Bourdain: New York.

  • Allusions

    • Tony: Watchin' the tube the other day and there's Sex and the City, and I'm thinking who are these women? Who lives like that? And how come in that one episode, Sarah Jessica Parker wouldn't let go of that trapeze?

The episode Tony is referring to is from season 6, "The Catch."

    • Tony: (at the gun range) You talkin' to me? You talkin' to me?

This is a popular movie quote from the New York based film, Taxi Driver. It has reached iconic status and is closely associated with Robert De Niro, the actor who spoke the line in the 1976 movie. It appears as number 10 on the American Film Institutes list of all time best movie lines.

    • Tony: (at the National nightclub) And with it the song stylings of Bon Jovski. "Livin' on a Prayer. . ."

It is unclear in the episode whether the performer Tony is referring to is a Russian impersonator or if Tony is making one of his witty comments. Regardless, Tony is referring to Jon Bon Jovi, lead singer for the band Bon Jovi. One of their largest hits was the aforementioned "Livin' on a Prayer."
