  • Best episode of the show! A tearjerker for any mother!

The episode itself had a profound message to deliver about the right and wrong decisions we've all made that we don't want our children to repeat. It was really driven home with the song, "I Hope You Dance". It'a an amazing episode...definitely my favorite of the series! It IS a tearjerker, but definitely not in the bad sense of the word. The one wish in every mother's heart is that her child/children don't repeat her mistakes. There are so many lessons to be learned in life, and we all have to make our own way. Oh I miss this show...moreless

    • Katherine: I remember the day Kelly was born, the doctor said she was the prettiest baby there. You remember that, Mary Elizabeth? M.E.: I remember everything.

    • Rene: How are you holding up? M.E.: I feel like I'm having an out-of-body experience, I feel like I'm watching a movie that I've seen before only now, Kelly's playing me and I'm playing my mother. Let me tell you, both sides suck.

    • M.E.: What was that? Colliar: What? M.E.: Usually I have to drag Kelly's butt out of bed to make her go to church on Sunday, since when does she go during the week? Colliar: She's probably just praying that she and what's-his-face will get back together.

    • Rene: What do you want her to do? M.E.: I want her to give the baby up for adoption. Rene: You want her to give up your grandchild for adoption? M.E.: That's right.

    • Rene: How far along is she? M.E.: Five weeks, that's better than I did. I waited six months to tell my parents. Rene: I still don't know how you kept it a secret from them that long. M.E.: I put ketchup-covered tampons in the trash. Didn't I ever tell you that?
