Show Summary

APB, inspired by the New York Times Magazine article Who Runs the Streets of New Orleans written by David Amsden, is a new police drama with a high-tech twist from executive producer and director Len Wiseman (Lucifer, Sleepy Hollow) and executive producers and writers Matt Nix (Burn Notice) and Trey Callaway (The Messengers).

An over-extended and under-funded Chicago Police Department is spiraling out of control because of increased crime rates, cover-ups, corruption and the like. After billionaire engineer Gideon Reeves' best friend is killed during a botched robbery attempt, Gideon insists on justice. Using his own money, he makes a deal and takes charge of the 13th District with the intent of making it a technically innovative police force - better than anything that's gone before it. Gideon finds help from ambitious and street smart Detective Teresa Murphy who is willing to give Gideon's technology and change a chance. So with the help of Gideon's tech officer, Murphy, a skeptical Captain Ned Conrad, Officer Nicholas Brandt and Office Tasha Goss, they embark on a mission to make the District a resolute crime fighting force of the 21st century.

APB is a production of 20th Century Fox Television. Len Wiseman, Matt Nix, Trey Callaway (Revolution, CSI: NY), Todd Hoffman (The Confirmation), Dennis Kim, and Robert Friedman (The Confirmation, Spring Broke, Give) serve as executive producers. Wiseman also serves as director on the series.
