Father Jacob is clearly not himself in this final episode of the series. He is weak and disorientated by a recent exorcism and he must face the fact that he is more vulnerable than ever to attacks by demonic forces. This then is not a good time for it to be necessary for him to summon all of his strength to deal with the hapless Michael who is set to go on a rampage and obviously needs all the help he can get. When Father Jacob realises that he himself may be possessed due to his weakened state, he realises that he must undergo a personal exorcism in order to be able to help stop Michael and continue his work.

A terrific finale to this great series which I won't spoil by going into more detail because you need to watch it for yourself.

Spellbinding and a fitting finale to a great (but short) British drama series.moreless
