  • Cybernetic Ghost of the Christmas Past From the Future fills Carl's pool with blood (and later on, Carl's house) and he tells a long story of the first Christmas

I thought that this was an excellent episode of "Aqua Teen Hunger Force". The plot was original and very funny. I literally couldn't stop laughing at this episode... it was just pure genius. Carl was sleeping and the Cybernetic Ghost of the Christmas Past From the Future visited Carl to tell him about his past. We seeing Carl's childhood past was very funny but it also made me feel bad for Carl because his dad seemed very tough and he went to Army Camp with his dad on Christmas. Now we all experienced what Carl's dad was like now that we saw Carl's childhood past in the very beginning of the episode. Carl telling the Cybernetic Ghost that it's February was very funny. The Cybernetic Ghost flooding Carl's pool with blood was very funny and Carl freaking out about it made me laugh harder. The Cybernetic Ghost also flooding Carl's house with blood later on in the episode was good. The Cybernetic Ghost of the Christmas Past From the Future telling Frylock, Shake, Meatwad, and Carl a long story of the first Christmas and how it was recounting was very funny. The very ending of the episode with that shirtless after that Cybernetic Ghost and the Aqua Teens telling him that he has never seen it was good. The Cybernetic Ghost's line "Thank god, I thought he never leave.... he's annoying, he's scary, and he's always shirtless" at the very end of the episode made me laugh hard. Overall, definitely an excellent episode of "Aqua Teen Hunger Force". 10/10moreless

  • Nice Christmas adventure with memorable and funny moments.

    7.5
    "Good"
The episode doesn't have a very well developed plot, but hey it is "Aqua Teen"; most of the episodes are completely random and without main plot. The particular case here is that the episode wastes most of the time with the Ghost telling the true story of Christmas.

Even so, the episode deserves a watch mostly about the Ghost. His "true story" of the Christmas is so non-sense and full of plotholes that turns into something really hilarious, and the lack of plot is forgot at all.moreless
  • Carl wakes up to a ghost in his house and finds out that his abode once belonged to a Santa Ape.

    "Superb"
Easily, one of the best episodes created at the time. This was, in fact, the first episode I saw, and from that moment, I knew I had to watch more episodes. The Cybernetic Ghost was a very clever character. His stories are far fetched and makes you question the validity of what he is saying. The randomness of bringing singer Danzig into the story line was brilliant and even more questionable, but they tied his character in very well. The script was very well written. Each character played a vital role. This episode is still very entertaining to watch to this day.moreless

    • In this episode, Frylock tells Carl that he can use their bathroom. But in past episodes The Aqua Teens have stated that they don't have a bathroom.

    • When the robot ghost wakes Carl up, he has his gold necklace on but after a few seconds, Carl isn't wearing his necklace.

    • How could the blood be flowing if the robot is hiding out at the Aqua Teen's house? We see the sprinklers running with blood just before it cuts to their house, but the ghost is already inside. What gives? The blood is still flowing because of the Curse placed upon the house. The curse comes from about three different stories that the robot talks about. The robot doesn't need to be there for it to stil be flowing. He states that it will flow for thousands of years..

    • The robot's hands swap over. He has a clawed one as his right and shears on his left when he was talking in Carl's bedroom. Outside later the hands are reversed. THEN, inside the Aqua Teen's house the hands are back as the were.

    ADD QUOTES
    • Cybernetic Ghost of Christmas Past from the Future: You don't remember because back then there was only a prophecy; but now in the future, the past has occurred.

    • Young Carl: Oh boy oh boy! I hope this is a new mommy Carl's Dad: Yeah its not. Unwrap it you little creep, we have to be at work in an hour. Young Carl: What is this dad..wha...is this carpet daddy? Carl's Dad: Carpet? No, no. Its berber. That's an industry term. Young Carl: Hey its like a flying magic carpet here! Look at this, I'm flying around in Egyptland! Carl's Dad: Don't get too attached there Aladdin cause its about to be magic flying dinner. Young Carl: You can't eat carpet. Silly daddy.

    • Frylock: Hey, man, you know, you don't have to move. You could do that other thing that the robot talked about.
Carl:Look, I know it's been a while, alright, but, uh, I'm not gonna get humped by a giant red gorilla in space, okay? No thank you.

    • Cybernetic Ghost: You remember that Christmas, don't you? Carl: No, I remember eating carpet. Not so much the lasers and the robots.

    • Danzig: Good. Because if I find him over here, I'm gonna be eating my cereal out of the bottom of your f**king skull. Meatwad: Alright, he's gone. You can come out now. Cybernetic Ghost: I cannot live with that guy. He is so annoying. He is so frightening. And he doesn't wear a shirt. Shake: You make our house bleed right now!

    • Cybernetic Ghost: Thousands of years ago... Frylock: No, shut up! You still haven't explained why the pool is filled with elf blood! Cybernetic Ghost: I told you earlier, it was the Great Circuiting. Frylock: You didn't mention no Great Circuiting! Cybernetic Ghost: Oh, I didn't? (Pause) Thousands of years ago...

    • Frylock: Wait, who unionized? Cybernetic Ghost: Wouldn't you like to know? Probably your mama!

    • Meatwad: Boy, this is a long story you know...maybe I will go get somethin' to eat. Carl: Yeah, I think I'm gonna get drunk while I listen to ya.

    • Dr. Weird: (after a giant hand lifts his lab up into the sky) RUN FAT BOY, RUUUNNN!!!

    • Cybernetic Ghost: And that is where babies come from.....for machines... Meatwad: Boy, that's some story. That kind is kinda different from what I remember, being told about, you know, people loving each other and...you know, physic- Cybernetic Ghost: (points to him) No! That is very wrong! You cling to your pathetic fable of fluid exchange.

    • Meatwad: And the blood's just gonna keep flowing, unless... Cybernetic Ghost: Unless Carl pays tribute to the elfin elders in space. Carl: I'll do it. What do I do? Cybernetic Ghost: You must give yourself up to the Great Red Ape. Carl: Okay, how much? Cybernetic Ghost: Sexually. Carl: Wonderful.

    • Cybernetic Ghost: I'm not finished. You should have gotten a snack. A war-like race of elves from the Red Planet landed on the ice-encased Earth and they were immediately enslaved by the unevolved Santa Ape to make his confused toys using galactic elfin technology. Toys were made into recognizable shapes and given names like "train," but these toys were also thrown at predators and defecated upon because they were so stupid. Christmas still sucked, in a big way.

    • Carl: Now just hang on a sec, okay. Cybernetic Ghost: Sure. Carl: You're the ghost of Christmas Past, right? Cybernetic Ghost: That is correct. Carl: Okay well... I mean you know that it's February... right? Cybernetic Ghost: (Pause) I am a robot.

    • Cybernetic Ghost: Thousands of years ago, before the dawn of man as we knew him... there was Sir Santa of Claus: an ape-like creature making crude and pointless toys out of dino-bones and his own waste, hurling them at chimp-like creatures with crinkled hands regardless of how they behaved the previous year. These so-called "toys" were buried as witches and defecated upon and hurled at predators who were awoken by the searing grunts of children. It wasn't a holly jolly Christmas that year; for many were killed!

    • Cybernetic Ghost: Thousands of years ago... Frylock: No, shut up! You still haven't explained why the pool is filled with elf blood! Cybernetic Ghost: I told you earlier it was the Great Circuiting. Frylock: You didn't mention no Great Circuiting! Cybernetic Ghost: Oh, I didn't? (Pause) Thousands of years ago...

    • Cybernetic Ghost: Thousands of years ago...the ice had made the globe inhabitable. Santa Ape did not know where the North Pole was. How could he? He was born before science existed. So he carved and placed his workshop right here (referring to Carl's house). Long before they unionized, and Christmas was celebrated at each full moon, in front of the great red ape!

  • NOTES (6)

    ADD NOTES
    • Little Carl wears the same clothes and sandals as the current Carl, minus the gold chain. He also was already starting to go bald.

    • The voice effects used for the Cybernetic Ghost when this episode originally aired differ from those used in the version of the episode contained on the disc in the volume 2 DVD set. The reason for this was because it was debated over by the show's creators on whether the Cybernetic Ghost's lines were understandable or not, given so many effects used to create his robotic vocal range.

    • When Meatwad and Carl go inside for snacks and beer, Carl returns with the organ cooler from "Dumber Days". Later you see Carl passed out next to the open cooler and several empty beers. So he threw away the brain and kept the bloody organ cooler to store his beers in.

    • This was voted as the best episode of ATHF during the "Best of [adult swim]" marathon. Ironically, it was one of the lowest rated episodes of the season.

    • Opener - A giant hand comes down from the sky and steals Dr. Weird's laboratory. Dr. Weird and Steve escape just in time.

    • "Verständlich" is German for "understandable" or "coherent", and his equivalent in this case to the colloquialism "comprende?".

  • ALLUSIONS (1)

    ADD ALLUSIONS
    • The title of this episode and the character for which it is named are a play on the names of the three ghosts in Charles Dickens' novel, "A Christmas Carol".
