Episode Summary

Dr. Weird unveils his latest creation, the Rabbot, but when he sprays it with French perfume, it breaks its way out of the laboratory and crushes Carl's car, and heads for downtown New Jersey. When Carl comes out of his house the next morning, Shake decides to put the Aqua Teens onto the case, in order to make $20 off of Carl. While the trio are at the mall, Shake becomes tired of the case and becomes eager to close it, though Frylock insists on continuing the investigation after finding some heavy evidence. However, as the Aqua Teens leave the mall, they pass through downtown New Jersey, where the Rabbot has gained the ability to turn anything in its path very hairy...moreless

  • Pilot episode of "Aqua Teen Hunger Force" that is original, classic, and funny

    9.0
    "Superb"
I thought that this was a superb pilot episode of "Aqua Teen Hunger Force". You can tell that old episodes are much more different from the new episodes. The new episodes are just all about blood, violence, explosions but the old episodes isn't about blood, violence, or explosions. In fact, there weren't any TV-MA episodes in the old episodes so I think Season 3 or Season 4 start to have TV-MA episodes. Anyways, this pilot episode wasn't exactly my favorite episode. I didn't have any problems with it but my score was a little low because it just could have been better. Carl's line "What happened to my friggin' car?" in the beginning of the episode was hilarious. The Aqua Teen Hunger Force also some super hero stuff because they don't really super stuff in the new episodes and Frylock doesn't really use his lazer eyes in the new episodes. He rarely uses them in the new episodes but he uses them in the old episodes alot. So if you compare new ATHF and to old ATHF, then you can see a huge difference but even though this show is about violence and all that stuff in the new episodes I still love it. Overall, nothing really much I can say about the pilot episode but it wasn't bad and it was original, classic, and funny. 9/10moreless

South Jersey Shore. This is not a safe place. At any given moment science can spawn a giant robot shapped like a bunny that could cause mayhem all over the city. Crime rules the streets. Cars suddenly die under misterious circumstance.
    No, this is not true.
    The cars are murdered.
And, like in any place floaded with evil, a force raises to stop this senseless massacre of motorized vehicles. Enter the Aqua Teens: a supersized milkshake, a floating pack of french fries and a dancing meatball. Evildoers, beware.
Of course the detective storyline was soon dropped. And the menace to the South Jersey Shore was quickly danced away into oblivion. But all the little things that make Aqua Teen Hunger Force addictive were there from the beggining: the constant nonsense, the neverending series of bizarre characters, the plots that end in mind air leaving you wondering what exactly happened and why, and, last but not least, a dancing, talking meatball.
So remember, evildoers, Aqua Teen in da hood, G!moreless

  • One of the best pilot episodes of all-time.

This is a really good episode. I think that the makers of this episode knew what they wanted the characters to develop into personality wise. The show itself sure has changed since this episode, but I actually like this one nad all earlier episodes better anyways. It is alot more of a cleaner comedy and I think that the jokes are better to. These were the glory days of Aqua Teen Hunger Force, In my opinion they keep on getting worse and worse nowadays. I found the parts with Shake all to be funny in this episode, and I don't even care for Shake in the newer episodes.moreless

  • A great way to start the series!

Rabbot features the guys in a situation where this robot rabbit attacks our friend Carl's car, and the guys have to solve the mystery but however can they solve the mystery without anything in the way? You'll just have to wait and see when you watch this episode, anyway I thought this episode was brilliant and one of my favourite parts of this episode was the "Take the Meat Bridge" part(a classic Aqua Teen scene, BTW) which involves Meatwad transforming into a bridge and Shake instead walks into the counter and doesn't take the Meat Bridge, and as McKellars says "One of the best pilot episodes of all time".moreless

  • It's different, but not in a bad way.

    "Good"
This pilot episode of Aqua Teen Hunger Force is different, and I by no means think that it's an all together bad thing. I think it's kind of cool to see Frylock out of character and the buildings and houses looking different than in later episodes. There really isn't a part in this episode that is laugh out loud, but it was a start to a great show. By no means can I give this episode a bad rating because it's a lot more different than other episodes because it was the first episode and I think they did a good job in it. Besides, I like these older episodes better than the newer ones anyways.moreless

    ADD TRIVIA
    • From this episode until the end of Season 3, when the show ended, the logo for Williams Street Studios was followed by the image of a skull and crossbones with the Cartoon Network logo as the skull's teeth. Over that would be the sound of Matt Maiellaro, the show's co-creator, shouting, "Skull!" Edit
    • In the first shot of the Powerpuff Mall, you can faintly see the outline of the giant hole that Rabbot will make later. Edit
    • Frylock's voice sounds a lot different in this episode than in the other episodes. Edit
  • Notes

    ADD NOTES
    • In the original, December 30 "stealth" broadcast of this episode, there were many differences from the final cut: There was no theme song or opening titles, the segues that cut to another scene were also different - instead of Schooly D narrating over some rap music, they showed the old "outer space zoom" segue from the Hanna-Barbera Superfriends cartoon, with the ATHF (instrumental) theme music played over it. In the cold open, after the Rabbot escapes, Dr. Weird says "Unleash the mechanical frog!" and the giant garage door opens again, showing a huge mechanical frog. There was also a scene of Master Shake sitting in the hair salon talking about things he hates. After Meatwad says "everyone likes dancing" it cuts to Shake getting his hair done and saying "..And I HATE dancing. It's one of my LEAST favorite things to do. Other things I hate are work, exercise, people, stupid people-". This stealth broadcast was more refined than the "Rabbot - The Original Cut", found on the ATHF Volume 1 DVD and has never been aired since the premiere. Edit
    • This is the first episode, and the only episode that came out in the year 2000. Edit
    • The voice of the narrator changes between this episode and the next, though it is not known who played the part in this episode. Edit

    • (Shake and Meatwad fooling with the automatic garage door) Master Shake: Come on! Today! Meatwad: Hey it's going down! Master Shake: Keep pressing it! Keep pressing it! ...Why do you keep pressing it? Meatwad: I'm not doing anything. (Frylock blasts the door off) Master Shake: Well hurrah, now I have to go to the bathroom. Announcer: Shake, you know you don't have a bathroom, baby. Meatwad: So where are we going? Master Shake: Shut your deformed mouth, Meatwad, before I nail it shut. I will be the one asking the questions....come on, go! Will you just go! Frylock: My Fry-dar is picking up an unusual scent off Car's car. Master Shake: It is the scent of jealosy, clearly. Edit
    • (The gang are hanging out it Carl's pool) Meatwad: Can I go swimming? Master Shake: Now look, it's clear to me that meteors have destroyed Carl's car... Meatwad: Can I go swimming? Master Shake: ...but he's committed to give us $20... Meatwad: Can I go swimming? Master Shake: ...so what I propose to do, is spend that money now... Meatwad: Can I go swimming? Master Shake: ...before he has time to take it back. Frylock: And we're going to spend it on what? Master Shake: Candies. Meatwad: Hey, Master Shake, can I go swimming? Master Shake: Look, Meatwad, this is Carl's pool, not yours. You can't just decide to go swimming whenever you want. Meatwad: But you're swimming right now. Master Shake: What I'm doing is merely swirling the water about. That's not a crime. Frylock: Uh, Shake, we swam enough now, haven't we? Shouldn't we get going on this mystery? Master Shake: Let's do it tomorrow. It's supposed to snow tomorrow. Frylock: No, we're doing it right now. Master Shake: Fine! Aquateens assemble! Because Frylock-baby has to have it! Edit
    • (After Frylock blasts a full hole in the garage door) Shake: Great, now I have to go to the bathroom. Narrator: Shake, you know you don't have a bathroom baby. Edit
