"Aqua Teen Hunger Force" is a weird show. The main characters are food items that are detectives - albeit, incompetent ones. This first episode has a few funny moments, but poor character definition may hinder the show's likeability. This is certainly a show for people who enjoy the absurd.
    The Good:
-"Shut your deformed mouth, Meatwad, before I nail it shut."
-"You tamed him with your greasy dance of joy."
-Shake Power. Master Shake announces that he is activating his power, which consists of him swelling up like a Puffer Fish, and then spitting out a small green blob of what is probably milkshake.
    The Bad:
-Master Shake is the character whose definition is clearest. For whatever reason, he is the leader of the Aqua Teens and he does not like Meatwad. Frylock, while the smartest, does not seem to have a distinct personality. Other than that he likes to dance, there are no obvious qualities that define Meatwad either.
  • Pilot episode of "Aqua Teen Hunger Force" that is original, classic, and funny

    9.0

I thought that this was a superb pilot episode of "Aqua Teen Hunger Force". You can tell that old episodes are much more different from the new episodes. The new episodes are just all about blood, violence, explosions but the old episodes isn't about blood, violence, or explosions. In fact, there weren't any TV-MA episodes in the old episodes so I think Season 3 or Season 4 start to have TV-MA episodes. Anyways, this pilot episode wasn't exactly my favorite episode. I didn't have any problems with it but my score was a little low because it just could have been better. Carl's line "What happened to my friggin' car?" in the beginning of the episode was hilarious. The Aqua Teen Hunger Force also some super hero stuff because they don't really super stuff in the new episodes and Frylock doesn't really use his lazer eyes in the new episodes. He rarely uses them in the new episodes but he uses them in the old episodes alot. So if you compare new ATHF and to old ATHF, then you can see a huge difference but even though this show is about violence and all that stuff in the new episodes I still love it. Overall, nothing really much I can say about the pilot episode but it wasn't bad and it was original, classic, and funny. 9/10

South Jersey Shore. This is not a safe place. At any given moment science can spawn a giant robot shapped like a bunny that could cause mayhem all over the city. Crime rules the streets. Cars suddenly die under misterious circumstance.

    No, this is not true.

    The cars are murdered.

And, like in any place floaded with evil, a force raises to stop this senseless massacre of motorized vehicles. Enter the Aqua Teens: a supersized milkshake, a floating pack of french fries and a dancing meatball. Evildoers, beware.

Of course the detective storyline was soon dropped. And the menace to the South Jersey Shore was quickly danced away into oblivion. But all the little things that make Aqua Teen Hunger Force addictive were there from the beggining: the constant nonsense, the neverending series of bizarre characters, the plots that end in mind air leaving you wondering what exactly happened and why, and, last but not least, a dancing, talking meatball.

So remember, evildoers, Aqua Teen in da hood, G!
  • One of the best pilot episodes of all-time.

This is a really good episode. I think that the makers of this episode knew what they wanted the characters to develop into personality wise. The show itself sure has changed since this episode, but I actually like this one nad all earlier episodes better anyways. It is alot more of a cleaner comedy and I think that the jokes are better to. These were the glory days of Aqua Teen Hunger Force, In my opinion they keep on getting worse and worse nowadays. I found the parts with Shake all to be funny in this episode, and I don't even care for Shake in the newer episodes.
  • A great way to start the series!

Rabbot features the guys in a situation where this robot rabbit attacks our friend Carl's car, and the guys have to solve the mystery but however can they solve the mystery without anything in the way? You'll just have to wait and see when you watch this episode, anyway I thought this episode was brilliant and one of my favourite parts of this episode was the "Take the Meat Bridge" part(a classic Aqua Teen scene, BTW) which involves Meatwad transforming into a bridge and Shake instead walks into the counter and doesn't take the Meat Bridge, and as McKellars says "One of the best pilot episodes of all time".
  • It's different, but not in a bad way.

This pilot episode of Aqua Teen Hunger Force is different, and I by no means think that it's an all together bad thing. I think it's kind of cool to see Frylock out of character and the buildings and houses looking different than in later episodes. There really isn't a part in this episode that is laugh out loud, but it was a start to a great show. By no means can I give this episode a bad rating because it's a lot more different than other episodes because it was the first episode and I think they did a good job in it. Besides, I like these older episodes better than the newer ones anyways.

This episode aired in the year 2000 at 5:30 AM and didnt get a lot of viewers. Since this is the pilot episode it is very different from the series now. Dr. Wierd creats a invention called the Rabbot. It breaks out and the aqua teen have to stop it from terrorizing downtown. They go downtown shake gets hair then loses it. They try to stop it with music. At the end it is still downtown and the aqua teen have left. This episode is nothing like any other time in the series. I mean what over time did Shake Say,"Aqua teen hunger forve Assemble". I give it a rating of 7.6.
  • a great pilot episode. Dr.Weird creates a giant mechanical rabbit to defeat the vegetables of the world. It ends up escaping and ends up in south jersey near the home of the aqua teen hunger force. Shake gets hair and other stuff.

A great pilot episode. Dr.Weird creates a giant mechanical rabbit to defeat the vegetables of the world. It ends up escaping and ends up in south jersey near the home of the aqua teen hunger force. In the original cut version Dr.Weird creates a mechanical frog(probably from some old 80's anime.)

Also it shows what Shake is doing while Carl's car is being crushed, and Meatwad's room is different, but every other episode it's the same. Meatwad has a jersey that says Meat #1 and Frylock sounds more bland and boring until the next episode and so on. Also it shows the inside of "Indigo" the hair salon. Meatwad's 3rd transformation, the meat bridge is shown too.

A great episode of aqua teen hunger force.
  • Best Pilot ever!

This episode starts it all. The pool, Carl, everything. I like the first part where Carl just yells 'What happened to my frickin' car?' Then we have Meatwad asking Shake 'Can I go swimming'?, turning into a meatbridge, and dancing with Rabbot. Then we have Shake who just uses his milkshake power to form...Milkshake. And I don't think Frylock should be bullied by Shake. Although Shake is the leader, Frylock has the brains. Even Dr. Weird is an extremely funny guy. After the movie, will Dr. Weird be back in the beginning of every episode? Because I really miss him.

Not a very good episode overall.

I love the series, but this episode was made well before the characters were defined.

Frylock seems to actually care about "obeying" Shake, when Shake commands him to use his power to remove Carl from the scene of the crime.

Shake seems to have the same personality, but it doesn't play as well as later episodes.

Meatwad is still meatwad (I love that little guy)

I think what bothers me the most about this episode is the the fact that AQHF seem to be actual detectives or heroes...instead of just a bunch of fast food products living next door to Carl.

Dr. Weird and Steve actually play an integral part in the storyline (they did after all, create "Rabbot").

It just doesn't seem like the characters I have grown to love.
  • Dr.Wierd invents a big robotic rabbit that crushes Carl's car.The Aqua Teens must go downtown to the mall to solve the mystery.

This episode is a very good one, I mean it isn't the best episode but it is very good for a pilot episode. I really enjoy this episode, it is way better that other pilots I've seen. I think it is funny how after the theme song starts it just goes to Carl saying "what happened to myfrikkin' car?".That was classic, total classic. I really like the part when Frylock shoots his beams at the Rabbot and it reflects back on Master Shake, very funny. I think this is a very good way to start off this series. You should see it if you haven't seen this one, you should. Classic.
  • An alright pilot, but not the greatest way to start a good series of ATHF.

Aqua Teen Hunger force has entertained me for a couple years now, and I was surprised that such a good show had such a bad pilot. The pilot did an okay job of introducing the characters, Shake:mean, Frylock: smart, Meatwad: naive. There was few if any funny moments in this episode, but it was just a pilot and many pilots are not very good. The episode was about the wierd scientist unleashes his latest creation the rabbot. It wreaks terror on a city. The trio tries to find out what destroyed Carl's car, and attempt to stop the Rabbot at any cost. When this episode aired it looked like this was going to be a bad show but, but turned itslf around.

Yeah this is an awesome episode, I love the way that carl refers to friloc as the food monster, lol but i need some help here, which episode is it where they get that shrink reay and carl \\\"enhances himself\\\"? That was one of my favorites, and I cant find it

That line from Shake-zula always crack me up. Like "The Shaving", The highlights of this episode is the lines that Shake has in this episode that ACTUALLY has the characters trying to solve a mystery [I guess Escape From Lepruachpolis counts too]. There's a longer version on the DVD that is just as good as this final cut although the jokes are different.
  • Far from the greatest episode of Aqua Teen Hunger Force I have ever seen, this episode is still worth the watch.

When Dr. Weird creates a robot rabbit, called the rabbot, it soon escapes by crashing a large hole through the wall of Dr. Weird's Southern New Jersey Lab. After crushing Carl's car to bejesus and back, the Rabbot moves to downtown and begins it's rampage. The Aqua Teens, in effort to get $20 from Carl, track the Rabbot in order to solve the mystery of who murdered Carl's car.

Using it's hair spray, it covers everything in hair! Even Master Shake finds himself victim of the rabbots hair spray, and after taking a quick break to have his new head of hair styled, Master Shake is determined to do, umm, something. Revealing his insanely weak super power, shake conjurs a blob of his contents through his straw and suggests the monster come and slip in it, if he dares.

In the end, it is Meatwads special personality which discovers the evil rabbots weakness. Dancing! The Rabbot is never actually defeated, and instead the show ends with the ATHF sitting in Carl's pool attempting to think of new places to hang out, now that downtown is no longer safe.
  • Not the best way to start.

Considering how Aqua Teen Hunger Force has entertained many of us over the last few years, this episode is an aberration. It is not a good episode at all, and upon looking at it for the first time, I thought, how did this show make it with such a bad first episode. It got better as it went along, definitely, but it got off to a HORRIBLE start.
  • Behold the world of the Aqua Teens...

The episode begins the trend of having a somewhat random opening sequence, and introduces us to all the main characters, Steve and Dr. Weird, bizarre scientists who always seem to create a disaster. And more often than not, Carl gets the short end of the stick. Carl, neighbor to the Aqua Teens has his car trampled by the Rabbot.

The main premise, which gets put on the back burner after a while is, that the Aqua Teens are detectives, so they take it upon themselves to discover the person responsible behind Carl's damaged car. Shake appoints himself leader, and the aqua teens, the out of place, seem to get the right, if not obscure idea. This episode features more interludes than later ones, possibly as filler.

They finally find the Rabbot, and Meatwad discovers its weakness...dancing!

All in all, a great start to one of Adult Swim's greatest 'toons.
